Just got a new phone, it connects to my wifi but can't get online

And it's only on my home wifi network. Was at a friends yesterday and it connected and surfed the web fine. Same in the dome today on their wifi. Only on my home network does it connect but doesn't pull up any web pages. What gives?

If you haven't done so already, I would first try rebooting the phone and router

what type of security do you have on your router? switch to wpa2-personal and you'll be good to go.

Not sure. How would I be able to tell? Or switch it?

when you are connected to your wireless, go to the settings on your phone, click wifi, click the name of your WIFI, it will tell you what security type you have.
if it isn't wpa2, you'll have to login to the router via browser to change that. We can help you better if you provide a little more info:
1. Type of Phone.
2. Type of Router.
3. Security type for that SSID.

Try forget this network then reconnect when it comes back on.

Tried and same thing. Also figured out the router is WPA2-Personal.

Let's get the basics out of the way:
1) Can you get internet from another wifi with that phone (at work, etc)?
2) Can you get internet via cell data?
3) Is your wifi connected to the iternet (can you use the same wifi with laptop, etc)?
4) Do you have a "guest" wifi that it may be connecting to?

Your phones IP is the same as your DNS, that won't work.

Phones IP is 192.168.1.5, your DNS is also stating its IP is 192.168.1.5. Either manually set your IP on your phone at something like 192.168.1.234 or do what a previous poster stated and reboot router/forget/rejoin network.
