This is the greatest pyramid scheme of all time. What a way to get passive income, unreal

Go sign up without an invite code then. Also you don't know what a pyramid scheme is if you think this is one.

You sign up then charge the next guy $20-$30 more then you paid and then so on. As long as first guy gets his cut he doesn’t care. Pretty simple…

arent we talking about $10ish/mo service for pretty much all the options here?

Exactly my point. 9/10 people have no clue wtf this shite is until you show them. They will gladly pay $50 to have every tv show/ufc fight/ etc. They have no idea other options exist for $10.

quote:i dont know about that; the one i use has like 15,000 channels including ppv, all bally sports channels, stuff i didnt know existed..shite from like 64 other countries...and its $10/mo for 2 tuners.

the only upsell is to add 2 additional tuners to the mix.
maybe other iptv services work differently, but the entry price for the one i use gives you everything and then some.

A lot of these guys make their own apps and sell it through the onn box/venmo. I know someone making a killing doing this exact scheme which is I why mentioned it.

cable co sticker shock fatigue. low double digit monthly costs seems like scifi these days.
went to visit my old boss the other day and he's still paying almost $300/mo for cable tv
including coax everywhere and 'idiot' boxes in every room.
insane. i didn't even know what to tell him b/c he was proud of his setup.

I’m not saying 10 dollar services aren’t out there and aren’t decent, but the one I use gives you a shite ton of feeds, a huge VOD, and a back up service to boot.
That’s worth 25 bucks to me. Ponzi scheme or not, I press a button and my tv turns on and acts just like cable, with a lot more options, and a fraction of the price.

I'm so tired of cable, streaming companies, all of it. I really need to research IPTV options

Great thread and a lot of very helpful info here!
We cut the cord about 15 years ago but have been using a mish-mash of different things. I think it's time I standardized under one system and will be getting the onn box in the next day or so while I have some downtime for the holiday to get it all sorted.

I’ll save you time after trying a lot of setups.
Watch: Tivimate or smarters pro. Both cost a few bucks but some services will activate smarters pro features free when you log into their XC endpoint.
Proxy optional: useful for combining clients on same channel, limiting streams, or pulling feed through vpn tunnel. Also if 10 TVs, proxy means only have to config a lineup once instead of 10 times. Best is by far dispatcharr with optional gluetun container for vpn.
Remote view. Still tivimate or smarters either from source or proxy.
Using the traditional servers: (proxy required)
Plex works great for live TV only.
Jellyfin works great for TV and movies VOD but struggles with Xtream series. Tried Kodi, Android, and Roku clients and all struggle with series in one way or another. Web clients work fine. You can technically “fix” both by building out libraries via “.strm” files but this is sloppy and requires a lot of maintenance and sync. Also there are no really good tools for this at this time.

Got my Onn 4K Plus this morning set it up after lunch. I've disabled the Google Play Protect option, and planning to install Tivimate (unless the service has their own rolled version).
Seems like IPT and CW are the best options and IPT having a BF sale sounds good to boot.
Now... FNG question: I realize there's a metric shite ton of channels on these two but is there a list somewhere I can review?

IPT has their channels on the website. CW will have the same plus others

CW has their own app. They are strictly invite/referral only, and I got yelled at for message boards…
If I do a referral, I’ll have to actually email them and CC you.

I think IPT has same lineup as private iptv access dot com no spaces. View a channel list there but think ipt is better service. Pia goes to crap for at least an hour or two daily.

Thanks guys. I think I'll start with IPT for their BF deal and see if it buffers enough to wait for CW to open more slots.
And since IPT doesn't have their own player, I'll get the Tivitmate lifetime plan
Thanks!
