You will get the same phone just one that works for now. Apple don't change much. For what you use it for you could literally pick any smartphone on the market and do the same so just pick a phone and go with it.

I dumped my 13 ProMax for a 16 ProMax.
I hate the new phone. Same Verizon service, but suddenly a ton of dead zones, weak signals, and crappy performance.

In addition, they removed the side button for turning off the ringer and now controlling the sound or muting is a royal pain in the arse.

Just my opinion, but I am not a fan so far.

Just remember, there's always a better thing right around the corner. The enemy of good is better. If you're otherwise satisfied with what you have, then forget about it. Wait until you actually really need an upgrade.

I was using an iPhone 7 up until January of this year because it still served all my purposes, but my employer finally cut me off from accessing work systems from the phone because Apple stopped supporting security upgrades on that model. Also Apple started bugging the shite out of my phone in very obvious ways to encourage the upgrade.

And not to hijack the topic, there seems to be a problem with iPhone 14 where you can't adjust the timer alarm volume. Does anyone know if the next IOS update will address this?

Unless something changed, that changes with either the ring volume setting or the media volume setting. Try both to be sure.

I have a 13 pro and wanted to wait till 17 to get a new one. Worried if I shouldn’t do it now since ATT min trade in for full trade in is a 13 pro. 17 trade in might be 14 min and I’ll be out of luck.

I was tempted to do the same until I realized that my 13pro max wouldn’t qualify for the max rebates this fall. So late last year, I jumped the gun, got the full 1200 trade in credit and my bill went down even doing the Anytime Next Upgrade.

Probably going to upgrade. Don’t wanna get caught with 350 trade in vs 1000

Yes. I can’t see any reason on earth to upgrade from an iPhone 14

Just traded in 2 iPhone 14 pro’s because the back glass would break every couple of months even with the case. I am pretty hard on phones but my wife had the same issue and rarely had screen cracks before this model.

Phones still functioned fine but I worried about water ingress so we took advantage of the $1000 rebates.

I will say, if you do upgrade do everything online and avoid going into a store at all costs. Those shitheads have no problem lying to your face even after they get caught. I was on the phone for 2 hours getting all the bullshite they added without authorization taken off the bill.
