Ipad Air, Mini, or wait for the new one?

What's the deal? I can get a Mini w/ Retina for 300 from Bestbuy. Is that good? Do I need the 32gb instead? Should I just wait for the next ipad to come out?

I'd wait for the next one to come out, and then buy the mini for $50-$100 less than it is today.

I ordered a mini from AT&T (certified refurbished )
For $129 with a 2 year contract. I had been wanting a iPad for awhile, so I jumped on it. Has same 1 year warranty as a new one. So far so good.
Deal was last week. May still be going on if you are interested.

I would wait but new iPads won't be coming until October. So it depends on how long you want to wait. When the mini is updated I'm going to sell my Air and get the new mini.

The only thing I've really seen rumored of significance for the iPads is touchID. There's also been chatter about an anti-reflective screen that works better in bright light/daylight. You can probably also expect the standard improvement in build and chip speed.
TouchID can be a compelling feature, never having to enter your AppleID or lock screen passcode, but I'm not sure it's more compelling than the discounts you'll see on last year's model when they start the clearance sales a month or 2 before the new release.

TigerinATL's response is good. The CPU in both the current Air and Mini will be good enough for years to come. It it's not worth the extra $50-100 discount you may get in a few months I would go ahead and pick one up. As far as which size to get...you really need to look/hold both and decide for yourself. I have the 9.7" one and sometimes I wish it were smaller, other times I wish it were bigger.

I think what im gonna do is grab a Mini 32gb and use that for traveling and shite, as well as to hold me over for the new one. I'll grab it down the road and have that one be for home use
You help me much more than you know. I usually just read tech stuff and don't post about it. If I don't see Dr Krieger in a tech thread, I haven't gotten all of the good opinions

If you're getting a mini just get the 5.5 inch iphone 6. Practically the same thing.
