I was paying $210 a month Cox.
-Panoramic internet up to 500Mbps for $84
($70 for internet and $14 we rent modem/router). Internet is crazy fast. 1.25 TB monthly data.
-TV for $126.
I canceled tv.
Adding YouTube TV with 4K for $83.
Cox is now telling me my internet is going up to $116 a month for dropping cable. Neighbor has same internet for $74 with no TV, he has internet only. ($60 for internet $14 for modem/router)
What setup should I do for the best bang for my buck? I searched ATT fiber but only found 25 Mbps for $55/mo. in my area.

First things first, send the rental modem back and buy your own modem and router. Then tell those assholes to shove the $100 a month up their arse and give you a decent price.

if you are going to be streaming TV only and you have any video game usage (PC or console) that 1.25TB data cap could be a big problem.

One kid that’s 3. We’ve started under the data for years. Never gone over.
We only stream. Don’t watch cable

I just ditched Cox after decades. Went with Rev gigabit fiber for about $100/month (they have cheaper plans) with no data limit. Rev also uses a Eero router for WiFi (no extra charge), which I was using already.
Signed up for YouTube TV. Didn’t add the 4K because most streams are only in 720/1080 anyway.
Very happy with it so far, especially since I'm now saving about $200/month. You’ll likely be fine with a 500 MB plan, so you could save a few bucks more there.

I ditched Cox earlier this year for YouTube TV. Also switched to AT&T fiber 1 gig for 60/month which lowered my cell bill since it’s also with AT&T. Saved me 300/month total. frick Cox
