I literally have AV companies as clients, and work with them daily with their marketing. They will gladly come out and set all that stuff up for you. It’s an easy $300-$500 bucks.
Call, tell them what you have, they give you a quote, schedule a time, and Abracadabra.....OP has exactly what he asked for in the first place.
I hear what you're saying and I realize that Time = money. However, the downside of doing it that way is summed up in the old axiom, "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime". There is something to be said for being able to fix and troubleshoot problems yourself. There is a power in knowing how something works and being able to fix it when things go haywire without having to call in an outside "expert". There's also a certain satisfaction in completing a project like this on your own. You don't get that if you simply pay someone a bunch of $$$ (that you don't have to).

If the OP can configure a new smart phone and download apps they can set up the home automation devices they outlined in the first post here.
That's all we're saying. Google and Amazon designed these to be consumer devices geared for the mass market.

If the OP can figure out how to post on tigerdroppings he can set up Google Home or Alexa stuff.
It’s literally reading a menu and doing what it says. With Google Home they even pretty cute animations to make it feel super easy. If you can scan a barcode, plug in one. Single Ethernet cable and read English you can set up google Wifi.
This is just willful ignorance.

You could say the same thing about mowing your lawn yet I’d rather pay someone to do it. I don’t want to be bothered with that shite during my precious weekend time. I even own a lawnmower, but the last thing I want to frick with is mowing grass when I can be at the camp.

With Alexa, once you get it running, it's even easier than that. You can literally talk to the device to get it to do certain tasks.
Alexa, Search for new devices.
(After the device is found) "I found 1 new device".
Alexa rename the new light to master bedroom lamp.
"OK."
Alexa, add the Master Bedroom lamp to the Master bedroom group.
"Ok."
What could be easier?
But those that "rather do something else" feel free to spend several hundred dollars to have someone do something that simple for you...
