The Sports App's look to be potentially awesome. The MLB app's screen caps look to be pretty awesome. Seeing these use cases applied to the Watch ESPN App to superimpose stats and social feeds onto CFB games.
Would be epic to no longer have to hold my phone or iPad to check this stuff when watching games at home.

ETA Unless the Pro runs the full Apple OS and not just iOS....then folks we have a real competitor.
No, the Pro runs iOS only, not OS X and definitely not Windows. I might've introduced the confusion earlier in the thread when I mentioned being able to run full Windows and Google Play Store apps. I was referring to the Surface Pro line for comparison sake, which has the same starting price as the iPad Pro.

Definitely getting the 32GB AppleTV. If for no other reason than to push the 1A Gen AppleTV I have into my bedroom so we can put a 2nd streaming box in there to go along with the living room.

Fairly boring thus far
Let's get on with the iPhone 6S and plus
Only thing I'm interested in here is the camera quality as I'm expecting it to be the best on the market

That may be so. But trust me, APPL has two shades of Gold because of China. It is a highly desired finish there and that's where all of their growth is occurring as of now. US and the Soccer MILF segment is fairly matured as a market these days.

Is apple TV still going for the kill with this generation or is it a let down?

I'm just curious, but what did most people WANT to see with the Apple TV presentation? We have a Roku stick in our daughter's bedroom so she can watch Disney JR and PBS kids and we just got an Amazon Fire stick for the living room which I like for the most part. What features were people hoping for with the new Apple TV?

So in other words the iPad Pro is priced way out of range....since you can get a more functional Surface Pro 3/4 for basically the same price. I'm also interested in the A9 vs Intel's skylake procs.

Apple copied let down from Google.

Exactly

Some people desire a simplified device. And some applications are still iOS exclusive or function better in an iOS environment than in their windows or google play/android counterparts.
For instance, vital signs don't populate in my EHR's windows app. They do in the iOS version. They're both significantly more functional in obtaining info (read-only style, they don't allow input) than the full-on desktop application. This is a wildly specific instance, and in no way do I personally think it would justify a less mobile platform for its implementation, but the point's purpose extends: some things are better in iOS, and now iOS has an, albeit expensive, larger sized screen to use them on.
It wouldn't justify the cost for me.

It says Pro in the name. They showed professional apps in the demos. Not every apple product is made for every single person on earth.

Well this is very interesting to me since for the last 3-4 years I've been working on an EHR system. On the windows side....is it a windows mobile app or a true desktop application?
It's like we are comparing apples to oranges here. iOS is obviously a mobile OS with some limitations from a desktop OS. Obviously Windows 10 is a desktop OS which is only limited by the fact that it probably requires bigger/more hardware to run it. However, the problem is the device with the (theoretically) smaller/lesser hardware that can run the mobile OS is still priced at the same price as the device with the (theoretically) bigger/more hardware that can run a full desktop OS.
I get that people like simplified mobile OS's but they shouldn't have to pay the same price as the device that will run the full desktop OS that they don't like, want, or need.
ETA Now I see this

So the problem is that the Surface Pro 3 for the same price as the iPad Pro can provide the user with the a more full featured POC (I assume you get this Doc) application in the field....which is very useful from what I've gathered in my research. Although my system is mainly geared toward Medicaid and medicare billing so we have some more business rules I'd guess.
