Has anyone in here owned/seen a TV from the Amazon Fire line?

Title sums it up. I need a new tv for my rec room where we spend most of our time. Fwiw my 4yr old flipped my 65” Samsung oled over onto the floor while I was at work. Bad day. But anyway they’re running some decent deals on them at Best Buy

The early ones were not good. The TCL Roku TVs were better if you’re looking budget.

Yup even the 15 year old Roku TVs that are barely usable own their own now will automatically default to a new Roku ultra if you plug one in. It’s like having a new TV.

My fire TV from 2020 or so is fricking awful
Amazon forces their apps to be downloaded, taking up tons of space.
At this point, I can’t even run basic apps without it crashing. Disney+, YouTube, etc.
I just had to buy a $25 Fire Stick to use on my obsolete Toshiba Fire TV

Contrary to feedback so far, we have a FireTV integrated TV in my son’s room and no issues. It’s about 6 years old now and still works fine.
However, I’d definitely not recommend them for a primary viewing area. They are limited, and basically lock you in to that hardware. FireTV sticks are pretty cheap and you can easily upgrade them. Get a “normal” TV and select whichever OS/Streaming device you want.

I have 2 of them, they are slow as hell, constantly run out of storage, and they make the use of the TV sort of clunky (especially for kids).
Just get a regular TV and a fire stick.

I have two of them, no real issues, despite what some are saying. But you can get better picture quality than anything they offer the last time I looked. Of course, if you're as old as dirt, like I am, you realize the worst picture quality of any decent TV is so much better than the best thing you could get when you were younger that almost anything will satisfy you.

Second. TCL Roku TV @Walmart are dirt cheap but work great and Walmart's return policy is way simpler than Best Buy.

get something with google/android in it. We use a fire tv for my youngest, but he is nonverbal autistic and has broken a couple and you can get the 32' for like $60 on sale.
