Blu ray, Netflix 4K content...looks fantastic. Direct tv hd content is less than impressive. The game yesterday was pretty disappointing. do I return the tv? Not sure what to do.

Do you have hd directv service?

Game looked great on my new Samsung. I have direct TV

Most of DirecTVs content isn't in 4k, it may be an issue with how the TV uoscales the 1080p content to 4k. Maybe you can turn that feature off?

Did you make sure the 1080i setting is on the direct tv box

Make sure your Dtv box is outputting 1080p. Remember this is a push button setting on the front of the Dtv box, not a menu setting and mine reverts back to 480p when it gets unplugged.

All resolutions are checked in settings and 1080i is what's set/illuminated on front of box.

Sure you weren't watching the SD channel instead of the HD one? My feed was fine

I don't think you can blame the TV for this one...

Positive I removed sd versions from my guide so I don't even see them.

How did you connect the box to your TV? What port to what port?

Direct tv and blu ray are connected to Yamaha receiver (acting as HDMI switch) and then Yamaha is connected via 40' active HDMI cable to hdmi1 (designated as cable/sat) on tv.

That exact TV is on sale at Costco for $899. Tell me you didn't fork out 12 bones on the one at Best Buy?

Can someone explain why they downvoted my previous post. Is there something wrong with that?
Posted on 9/4/16 at 5:41 pm to VanRIch
Maybe because you left out important information about your Yamaha receiver and 40' cable. Somebody else had the same problem about a month ago.
