Galaxy s10 impressions

Picked up s10 yesterday. My last 3 phones have been motos so I have become accustomed to a very stock, unbloated android experience.
I must say I'm extremely impressed with the improvements Samsung has made to their UI. It is extremely customizable and you can enable/disable basically everything.
The screen is gorgeous.
The phone is very light and a nice size (smaller than my last 2 phones but with a bigger screen).
Well see how battery life does. I know it won't be quite as good as my z play was. Also, Motorola is still king when it comes to fast charging. My last phone charged significantly faster than the s10 does.
So far, I'm very pleased.
Eta: also, pre-ordering through Sam's club I got a $200 gift card and free Samsung buds.

It's getting great reviews. Looks like a successful launch.
I'm a note guy now (8), so I'm waiting for the note 10 to come out this summer.
Got my wife the new galaxy watch active yesterday and I played with the phones. Not bad.

Got mine yesterday as well.
The thing is a beast and the UI is not half bad. I haven't switched to Nova yet.
Big pluses: Gesture controls, customization, camera
I'm working on Bixby routines to tweak this. Finally, routines without rooted devices. If they continue to support that feature, that is big for me.
It's a snappy phone with a lot of great customizable features.

Samsung’s Galaxy S10 lineup of phones is perhaps the most expansive and extensive line of devices to share the same basic name. There are a total of four different devices bearing the S10 badge: the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, Galaxy S10E, and the yet-to-be-released Galaxy S10 5G.
Honestly i prefer previous versions of S

Fill us in on battery life after a few days. I think that's my top 1 priority in smart phones. Really hate needing to keep chargers every place I'll be, or knowing I need to keep one on me.
Really liking the LG V20 for its replaceable battery. After a year and a half of usage, noticed my battery wasn't holding its charge and replaced it. Feels like a brand new phone.

I've had the S10 Plus since last Wednesday and it's been great. Screen is gorgeous and the battery is better than my note 9 which lasted more than a day. I get over 24 hours of moderate use easy.
Just checked the battery usage, I have 23 hours and 6 minutes since I last fully charged it and I have an estimated 14 hours left at 41% battery. Screen on Time is currently sitting at 3h 45m.

I will say I find the edgless screen kind of disorienting. I guess my eyes are used to looking at a well demarcated screen

No it just connects to a series of tubes.

I've been impressed with the Note 8. I've never had to charge the phone during the day. I typically take it off the charger at 5am and put it back on the charger at 11pm. Still have 50% charge at that point. Not a heavy user but the phone is on all day with some browsing / email.

I'm a heavy user on the Note 8 and I still get almost a full day with no charge needed. A real heavy day I may need to charge after about 10-12 hours.
I just got my wife the S10 and she likes it so far. Battery is real good obviously as it's new. Smaller phone than her S8+ but full screen so not much actual screen loss.

First full day with S10+ today (coming from S8). Immediately changed the Bixby button and already feel like a winner. Unplugged at 730AM, moderate use including about an hour of active GPS. Sitting right at 50% as of 1030PM.
Camera is kickass. Don't like the higher power button. Fingerprint scanner seemed sketchy until I enabled screen sensitivity.
Got/getting $250 gift card from xfinity mobile and $200 trade in on S8, so I feel it's a crazy good value.
I can't find the samasung buds offer in shop Samsung now that I have the phone. Supposedly good until April. Someone help a brother out.

Thanks! Makes a huge difference!

Yep, I was about to ditch the biometrics until I learned that the phone came with a screen protector pre-installed. Switching that on solved it completely.

I've read all the explanations why a replaceable battery isn't needed anymore and I remain unconvinced. Give me a phone I can pop the back off and put a new one in myself.

Went from an s6 to the 10 plus. Obviously it is a huge upgrade but so far so good. Battery is taking heavy use and making it through the day

This changed everything. Amazing!

All reasons are garbage. It is always a ploy to force you to buy a new phone.

The S11 & S12 will blow it way, later this year. Worth waiting for.
Especially with larger emphasis on crypto wallets and blockchain integration.
But it’s a nice phone, nonetheless.
