OnHub-schmonhub: two sources are now telling us that Google will introduce an own-brand Wi-Fi router called Google Wifi, and that the device will cost $129. A source that has proved reliable in the past has told us that the device will be launched alongside Google's Pixel phones, Google Home, and the 4K 'Chromecast Ultra' on October 4th.

That source additionally claims that Google will advertise the router as having "smart" features - probably similar to OnHub in some respects - and that Google will claim it provides enhanced range over typical Wi-Fi routers (a claim we see basically every router make, to be fair). But the one thing that will make it an insta-buy for many over OnHub? Our source claims multiple Google Wifi access points (two or more) can be linked together to create one large wireless network. Do I have your attention now? Because my interest is certainly piqued.

How is that different than linking two other brands of routers together?

Or different brands of routers?....nothing, but I would imagine it "just works"

Buy quickly before it is discontinued and abandoned

Unfortunately though this will only allow you to link with pro liberal media and will block any pro conservative sites.

Yeah. It'll be smart enough to track every site you visit regardless of what browser you use and report back to google.

Why do people care about the politics of a company? As if it even matters.

And find me a major consumer technology company in this country that doesn't have a left leaning leadership. I'll wait.

You do realize tech companies lean left in general. Silicone Valley just might be the most left leaning area in this country.

Apple Inc. and Google are tied, with 90 percent of their employees' giving going to liberal politicians.
Conservatives just don't enter the industry at anywhere near the same rate as liberals. Certain industries lean overwhelming toward a certain political affiliation.

From what we’ve been told, each Google WiFi is dual band (of course it is), has two ports on each device, AC1200 speeds, 802.15.4 radios, Bluetooth, and can be setup in minutes.
AC1200 routers are kinda outdated at this point. I think the first generation of them came out in like 2012 but it still solid for the average person. I think ill pass on this
