It was submerged for about 3 seconds, it's been in rice for almost two days. Assuming it doesn't work-
Are my photos and contacts gone?

If you had a Galaxy it wouldn't be an issue.

Seriously. Even budget phones are at least slightly resistant.

The manufacturer of those says you can throw it in the microwave for 2 minuted and it’ll start working again.

My old iPod went through the washer and dryer years ago. After leaving it in a bag of rice for a long time, it eventually would power on...months later when I plugged it in. It semi worked. I’m impressed it even turned on after getting beat to hell.

Had one get dunked. Put it in a Tupperware type container with a bowl of Damp-Rid (desicant) for a few days.

When the moisture that had been visible on the inside of the camera lens went away, I plugged it in the charger. It was stone dead, but it slowly took a charge and eventually worked fairly well. There were some bugs, but they slowly went away.

MC Backup is a free app. Emails you a set of your contacts, which you can use to restore in about 5 seconds. I send a new set to myself after adding new contacts.
