Does anyone have T-Mobile 5G home internet in the Central area?

I live in the Magnolia Bend neighborhood. I'm looking at dropping ATT. The T-Mobile is faster and cheaper. What's your experience?

I don’t know what it is about Central but it seems it’s the place where cell phone signals go to die

What is central? I have it now in Jefferson Parish just west of NOLA some and it's good.
It's very location dependant obviously but if you are getting good signal and good speeds or friends are, you should be good to go. I get about 200-400up and 30-70down daily. I dropped ATT Fiber at 80$ a month and only pay 30$ for TMobile.
I really enjoy it and have 3 kids with ipads, a Mrs who streams, and I telework. So we stress it pretty well daily and it handles everything like a champ.

I’m in central and have ATT fiber. Why drop it? I’m actually right around the corner from you.

The ONLY way I’d suggest TMobile home internet 5G over ATT Fiber is if you already have the higher tier TMobile cell plan and can get internet for 30$ a month. Well and of course if the signal is good in your area and you have UC bands with TMobile.
That’s the only way TMobile 5G internet > ATT Fiber, just on cost savings.

Can't speak to signal quality in your area, but T-Mobile 5G Internet customer service is by overseas elves who barely speak English and have zero knowledge other than to say "thank you sir for patiently waiting..."
Approach with caution.

Not verizon. Had cell service throught 2016 flood. Problem was I had nobody to talk to. The all had ATT.

So no different than ATT, Verizon, etc.

TMobile had a money back guarantee when I reached out to them a couple of months ago. Think it was 15 days - cancel before 15 days and return the equipment and they'll refund the first month's payment.
So you might be able to try it out for yourself if you reach out to them. Just ask about their return policy first.

Correct they still have this policy. Honestly, I've had mine for 2 months now and just ditched ATT Fiber.
I have over 45+ devices, smart cameras, etc and TMobile home internet 5G runs everything just fine here. It's amazing how much overkill 1000mbps up/down actually is. We get about 200up and 50down and that's enough for us.
The only caveat is gamers who play first person shooter games. The latency can get bad for that BUT even more reason to have it so you can stop playing games and go do something with your life.

I can't speak for your location, but I can tell you that I live in a rural area and T-Mobile is blazing fast while only getting a good signal. Would definitely recommend you give it the 14 day free trial.

It sucks for gaming. Ping to Dallas is around 100ms. I cancelled it. Speeds are fine for downloading and streaming though.
