You liking it better than Vue?
Posted on 12/2/16 at 10:14 am to LSUsmartass
Yes. Love the remote and how it can control the volume. I honestly don't use my TV remote at all now. I have the HDMI-CEC set so when I hit a button my Apple TV, the TV turns on and the Apple TV is ready to roll.

Vermillion...I don't have time to go back and read through the thread, but what are you quick thoughts on Directv vs. Vue. Worth the switch?

Well, I don't use DVR much. So that wasn't a big deal to me.
The guide, UI, and stream quality are all better in DTV NOW. Only complaint is that I have to use my Fire Tv for KODI and my Apple TV for DTV NOW because I enjoy the Apple TV so much.
I'll bust out the Fire Tv soon and get my remote issue fixed. I have 2 remotes with one being a replacement and neither work.

I surely hope any other Lafayette area baws that were having problems with Vue are reading this thread.
In the limited time I've spent with DTVNow it is heads and tails better than SlingTV.

This is my first 'cut da cord' experience but I play around with it all day yesterday and it was flawless. Atv4 is the tits compared to my gen3
If I could find an easy way to get local channels, I am all in.
ETA: laffy area

Agreed, it has issues in the evening on Day 1 but last night I only had 1 instance where it told me "I had too many streaming accounts" error even though it was only 1 account streaming.
It's a good service. But sling and vue aren't bad. Competition is good.
In my opinion, DTVNow > Sling > Vue.

Yea, for me, sling > vue cause it was on AppleTV and on Xbox. Just my personal preference based on my families devices and such.

The channel list from earlier in the thread just mentioned FS1 and FS2, not the regional Fox Sportses. Can anyone confirm if DTV Now gets Fox Sports New Orleans? The Pelicans and Clippers should show up if they do because they play tonight at 7.

I think I saw last night it's Fox Sports Southwest. Which I believe had a Texas basketball game on last night. Don't remember which team.

I got a Mohu Leaf waiting for me on my front door right now....I plan on trying to mount it on the wall behind my TV (which sits about 7ish feet off the ground). If that can get me KLFY, KLAF, and KATC....I'm ecstatic.
