Just got the email. Not showing up in my guide yet.

We know locals matter—local foods, local folks and, yes, local channels. That's why we are so pleased to announce that your local CBS and FOX affiliates have been added to your DIRECTV NOW lineup. These agreements take time, so we thank you for your patience.

just wait till the big events then you can enjoy constant buffering.

Did you have the grandfathered go big plan?

I've been with them since the launch. The plan was never guaranteed to stay $35, it has always allowed the rate to be raised along with the rate of the base Go Big plan. It's more like a permanent $25 discount.

That's why you always have the local antenna backup. Anyone pissed that their local doesn't look good or buffers now and then should only be pissed at themself for not having an antenna.

There's already too much fragmentation, too many apps, too many interfaces. They need to get the capacity management right so they can stream these events without the buffering.

DirectTV Now Getting CBS and Fox locals

My only question(s) about DirecTV Now is what does it have over Hulu Live TV or YouTube TV?

My big comparisons are:
1) DVR:
Hulu: 40 hrs
YouTube TV: Unlimited (overkill)
DTVNow: 20 hrs

2) Commercials:
Hulu slays all by limited commercials and commercial free (for a cost)

3) Price:
Main packages are:
Hulu: 44$ with live tv
YouTube TV: 40$
DTVNow: 50$ (for sports and camparables to the others)

I want to want DTVNow but unsure what it gives me that the others don't, other than less DVR space and costs more. Am I missing something? I guess it does provide CBS now, depending on where you are.

I did some looking into HuluLive's interface and it looks like it doesn't have a cable style guide as an option like Vue and DTVN do. Can someone with Hulu confirm it doesn't have one, because that's a required feature for my wife.

So Hulu/Hulu Live TV are in a weird space but it's because they're still morphing their old DVR style menu to a newer interface.

I have it currently and their first tab/default tab is "Lineup", which I don't like. That gives you suggested content.
Their 3rd tab does have a "Live" lightning bolt that does indeed give a tv style guide. I have a feeling that DTVNow and YouTube TV have better tv guides, if I had to guess.
