I tell you what by the end of the year when iPhone users everywhere

waiving thier phones at the scanners at major retailers EVERYWHERE and paying for thier purchases and Andorid users can't
quote:we see it...
we'll see who the retard is.
Think of it this way. Apple is VISA and Android is MasterCard. Card readers read both, right? No different here.

No ones saying it doesn't work. Point is it's a pretty much a failed system and not widely used. ApplePay will be a major success.

I promise to let them have their day.
I'm not even an anti-Apple guy. I had an iPhone for a couple of years. The hardware is fine. iTunes is the dealbreaker.

So? Ever seen anybody use it? I 've never once seen one used. Never. In a few months it's going to be a common sight.

Why? Because they were the last to include it in their phones after its starting to take off?
They had the option to put it on the iPhone 5, and decided against it, because there wasn't a lot of places using it. Now that places are using it, they are like, THIS IS THE NEWEST BESTEST THING EVER BECAUSE WE CREATED APPLEPAY!

How many people will get the new iphone in the next few months... then how many will actually put their cards in ApplePay... then how many will actually use it... then how many will actually use it when you happen to be in line behind them...
"common"

in a related thread, anyone want to take bets on how much the "mickey mouse" face will cost?
my money says its at least $5 for this 'premium' watch face.

Don't try to use logic and explain anything to them. They don't understand cutting edge tech and think that because Apple finally adapts 3-4 year old technology that it is a revalation.
They can herpaderp all they want, but the fact is the technology has been around and was already gaining ground before Apple added it to this phone. Not the other way around like these dorks think.

LOl. It started off with guys like you saying I claimed Apple invented NFC. So who's moving the goalposts?
But you guys are right. NFC's NFC. Android's had it for years. Don't you know I see it in use everywhere I go. After all they have scanners everywhere so they must get used all the time right? Google Wallet is on fire, the whole world uses it. So what's the big deal about Apple Pay? Once again it's just Apple playing catch up as usual.

From an article last year when the 5s and 5c were released: LINK
Although Apple has so far not offered a way for its phones to connect to NFC reader terminals at stores and transit stops, the terminals are in wide use in some Asian countries. And use of NFC equipment is expected to grow more commonplace in the U.S. by late 2015 as credit card companies push for in-store terminals that accept more secure smart chip card transactions and are compatible with smartphone NFC chips, McKee said.
again, so now that it's starting to take off, Apple finally joins the pack, and it's suddenly all about how Apple will make this the greatest thing ever. Just because the US is slow to take up technology, doesn't mean other countries aren't all over it.

Free, it was free on the ipod nano that looked pretty similar that people made bands for to wear as watches.

to be fair here, apple has a great track record of getting fringe technologies adopted by the masses the moment they 'bless' it.
thats a good thing for everyone..but i fully understand the frustration from everyone else who feels like nothing ever takes off until apple gets involved.

When will Android come up with something like Apple Pay? I like Android, but this is a good feature.
