CBS in BR via antenna or streaming help needed

So just got a new house on the outskirts of BR in central. Ive tried 2 different indoor antennas so far and can’t pick up WAFB. I haven’t put anything in the attic or outside. Just the antenna sitting by a window. Worried about trying to stream SEC & NFL games. Any help would be appreciated.

hmm, not much details to go on. I live in Prairieville and point my antenna toward BR, picks up cbs just fine. I have a directional antenna with boost(amplifier), metal roof on the house and I point it out a window, working fine...
antennaweb.org can show you which channels you might catch and the direction your antenna should face. Depending on you TV you may need to go into the menu and have the TV run a "scan or search" for channels. It could take several minutes.

The problem with WAFB is they broadcast in the VHF frequency range, while most other locals are in the UHF range. Most of the smaller indoor antennas can pick up VHF stations, but they're much better at UHF. It comes down to physics... it's just easier to pick up VHF signals with a larger antenna. Compounding the problem is WAFB is a relatively weak signal.
WBRZ is also in VHF, but it's a stronger signal.
If you want to try another antenna, make sure it says UHF and VHF.

WAFB is operating on channel 9, a high VHF channel. Channel 9 has a greater loss on an indoor antenna due to its frequency, needing an antenna that is 30" long at half wavelength. Most indoor antennas are much smaller than the 30" 1/2 wavelength of channel 9.

I live in north Denham Springs and bought the antenna linked. I installed it in my attic and connected it to the coax that my cable tv was on. I pick up all BR stations crystal clear. Go to TVFool.com to find the best direction to point it.

This is my problem too. When tailgating on campus I get local channels plus about 10 random channels but no WAFB.
I need to buy yet another antenna? One that says VHF and UHF?

You need an antenna that picks up VHF AND UHF. BRZ and AFB are both still VHF (9 is 9, and 2 is 13, if that makes sense.) After the rebanding, MOST channels went UHF, so that's what the majority of antennas are. If it doesn't say UHF AND VHF, its UHF only. And don't be fooled if it says 'Digital.' No such thing. Antennas are metal and wire, it don't know the difference.

Look up DIY gray-hovermann antenna, I built one with scrap wood and wire I had around the house. I had to purchase the coax connector piece from amazon for about $5. I then installed in the attic and connected to the existing coax and pick all local channels and more for under $20. If you are not a DIY person, you can buy a similar antenna to the ones listed in previous posts and should be able to get all local channels if pointed in the right direction.

I was in a similar situation as you and installed this a couple of weeks ago in the attic and get 60 channels now. Literally all you need to do after you hang it is plug in the coax chord to one of your cable lines in the attic and then run to the TV.

Edit: Same as Bagger Joe
The indoor ones are so hit and miss.

This has been covered pretty well in the cord-cutting thread as well.
