I have a 50 inch TCL tv that is a year old. I have it set up outside under a screened in patio . I had 2 big dogs get real wet and decided to use the patio to shake off the water and of course they cover the tv and now it won't come on. Any suggestions?

Check GFCI first, then breaker.

I expect to replace my outdoor TV about every 3-4 years with cheapest I can find. Usually starts w a screen issue, not a complete outage. I just saw a 65" at Costco for $550.

I also bought a cover which has extended the life of the TV by 1 year on average. A good investment for sure.

I have tried different outlets and all of that.

I was expecting to get 3 to 4 years. The dogs were not in my plan (not my dogs) I am going to get a cover for my next one.

Been a few years but bought something similar to THIS on Amazon.

The zippers keep the mud daubers out for the most part.

Not sure Amazon is selling the OG I got back in 2013. Cover has outlasted 3 TVs lol

I have already done this twice. I take the TV from my bedroom or bonus room and move it outside. I take the TV from the living room and move it to the bedroom/bonus room. I replace the living room TV.

I use the same type of wall mount in all rooms, so it's easy to lift and shift the TV's without screwing/unscrewing the brackets.

Maybe it can be saved.
I did this with my 65" TCL and if you're a little handy and not intimidated by the idea, you can too.

Go to "shopjimmy.com" with your tv model and/or serial number. For about $80 you get all the internal parts that you need.

Go to Youtube for a video of what to do.

If it's the screen that's damaged then that's a different story, throw it away.
