Burner phone for work?

My iphone7 is finally out of support so my employer shut down all its apps, outlook etc on the phone. But I'll be damned if I'm getting into a new contract with a new iphone when this one is paid off.
What is the best Walmart option for a phone I can just pay cash for and pay for a basic plan, something like $20 a month, all it would be used for is Outlook for work when I'm away from my computer. My main phone would still be my Iphone with ATT.

I got a mint condition 100% battery health refurbished iphone XR from Boost Mobile for $9.99 for the XR + 3 months unlimited data sim card for $90. Total $100. Phone was unlocked and I got $400 for the iphone XR as a trade in to tmobile on a iphone 13 mini.
You don't even have to activate the XR with boost mobile or you can use the Boost Mobile sim card for 90 days and switch to Mint Mobile ect. Make sure you turn off Boost Mobile auto pay so the 3 months of service for $90 doesn't auto renew in 90 days.
I have 2.5 month unused boost mobile sim card if you want it
Boost Mobile XR deal

The phone they pay for, or they can F off.
Find out the schedule for when corporate supports phones (likely linked to when Apple stops sending out security updates) and just buy that on Glyde or similar.

If you're buying a new phone anyway just put it on your att account instead of having 2 phones. Why would you need a new contract if you buy a phone?

Does your company support Outlook Web Access? You can usually just open Safari and go to owa.companyname.com .
Get an iPhone X/XR at a place like this. You really do need a phone that gets security updates. You don't need a new line, you can replace the 7 on your account.

My 7 plus is running IOS 15.73 which was a security update a few weeks back. Apple is still rolling out security patches.

Well, you got *an* update, but not the latest update.

I’m guessing if OP hasn’t bought a phone since iPhone 7, he may not realize how the new “upgrade” process works.

The original post was about security updates for work, the 15.73 was a SECURITY update & it was implied that Apple would no longer do.
