There is no answer.
What is the best circular saw for my 4 year old? Only legitimate responses please.

I'm not the one who comes to tiger droppings for parenting advice.
And you should feel free to take our unsolicited advice and try to refrain from posting about stuff you know nothing about. The internet is full of enough shite as it is.

You were not proven wrong about motor skills were you?
No I wasn't. Just cause you found an article on google backing your opinion doesn't mean you won an argument.
Here's a link on how to develop motor skills from parents.com
Hmm... didn't see any tablets on that list.
You can find an article online backing any opinion.
Here's a LINK on why Hitler was a nice guy.

First step is admitting it...

quote:Look, nobody here is saying to replace all of your child's toys, puzzles, creative supplies, etc. with a tablet. We are just saying that giving a child a tablet is not inherently bad. Just like letting them watch some TV or eat some sweets isn't inherently bad. Tablets are just another thing for your child to interact with intellectually, creatively, and yes, physically (I know you're all about the motor skill development).

Clever. Then the answer to the OP should be this.

a toy saw and a real circular saw, do not compare to the stupid picture you posted.
I'm the most anti phone/tablet person around. I have zero apps on my phone, and if it let me delete the ones it came with, i'd do that. I'd go back to a flip phone if i could. but to say a three year old shouldn't play with a tablet is just retard.
I'm sitting here posting this on a desktop computer, instead of the $300 Galaxy tablet we just bought, for us(wife), so we can put all the kids apps on the kindle fire for my 3 year old to play with. he might play with it once or twice a week, b/c he'd rather run around and do little boy things than play on the phone.
Mommy plays on the phone, daddy goes outside and plays with his little boys. Kids do what their parents do, little boys like following in their dads' footsteps. I don't play on my phone, my kid doesn't have a big interest in doing that either, unitl after dinner occasionally, and that's only b/c he sees mom doing that.

I won't argue with this as I don't know your family.
But you'll have to give me some reasoning as to why

That a toy saw that looks like a real saw is not the same thing as a toy iPad that looks like a real iPad
Posted on 12/22/14 at 5:42 pm to Hester Carries
real saw is a bit more dangerous than a play saw dont' you think?
how is a real ipad going to cut someones hand off, or be any semblance of immediately dangerous to the kid like a real saw is?
