Since this is the tech board, first things first - you seem to be confusing wifi with internet service.

Assuming you're looking for an ISP, this will be highly dependent on your location. I would search locally for the following types of service, in order of preference:

1. Fiber
2. Cable
3. Fixed wireless ("WISP" or cellular, as long as there are no data caps)
4. Starlink (move to #3 if all of those options have data caps)
5. DSL or other slow landline broadband
6. "Traditional" satellite like hughesnet

i am glad the wifis and the geebee's crowd is getting fewer and fewer.

My FIL had a local company put a tower on his property for line of site transitions and he will get free internet for a 10 years.

We use Rise broadband. It is LTE services broadcast from water towers. We get about 25 mg download. We stream Netflix fine.

Starlink is the only right answer here. If it’s not available in your area yet it will be soon. Get some temp in the meantime and wait for Starlink.

Parents just got AT&T Fixed Wireless. It uses signal from a cell tower. The ATT signal at their house is virtually zero with a cell phone, but the antenna/box they put on the roof grabbed enough for 20 mbps. Streaming Netflix now.
