Best Economical Laptop.

I’ve been a Mac snob for a long time but I’m kind of getting over that. Our 6 year old family Mackbook air crapped out on us. I think a MacBook is a bit overkill for our needs. My kids use it for homeschooling and my wife uses it for some embroidery software. I’m pretty clueless to Non-MAC laptops. What might be a good Cheaper option?

If you do everything on the web, look at Chromebooks. "embroidery software" makes me think Windows will be in your future unless there is an online version.

I think you mean over-priced instead of overkill. Hardware-wise they're pretty average when it comes to current midrange performance computers.

Take a look at Lenovo X1's with at least an 8th gen Intel CPU on eBay. Probably some really good prices
