What have ya’ll seen that’s out there leading up to Black Friday? Trying to keep it under a $1000, if possible

The 65 inch Sony X900H may go back to 1000 or close for Black Friday. It was 999 for several weeks until about a month ago.

How are TCL and Hisense as brands? Haven’t heard of them.

They're Chinese state-owned/controlled brands who steal technology from other companies.

I'm not telling you that's a reason not to get one, but that's probably the only real reason not to consider them. Some people complain about longevity and customer responsiveness, but the quality appears to be very high these days.

We had a Hisense when it was a much lesser brand and it was good for the $$$. I like to think I wouldn't buy another one for the reasons mentioned above, but when I eventually need a new outdoor TV and don't want to pay a lot it's going to be hard to refrain from looking that direction.
