I'm doing some digging for a client who asked me this question. SharePoint people in the Baton Rouge area, what company do you work for?

Dude. Millions of companies use Sharepoint in some fashion.
Strange question.
Strange question.

Client is a headhunter. I suspect she's trying to "skill market" a SharePoint admin and asked me to help.

Sounds like your Tinderella has ulterior motives before letting you see her golden arches

Yeah, I don't think too many folks here are going to tell you where they work. But suffice to say SharePoint is prolific.

This may be the worst possible way for you to get this info. Tigerdroppings? Really?

I know of two government agencies utilizing it at present in Baton Rouge. Both in radically different ways.
One is far more advanced in their use case and version but it's an antiquated entity that is years behind everywhere else (they're using COBALT-based legacy db systems).
The other is far more cutting edge, interfaces with far more private/public entities and deals on sophisticated secure networks to perform work tasks. The Share Point Site it uses is downright antiquated by comparison. But it's widespread and leveraged all over extremely well and in a very stable way.
This is like walking into a gym and saying, "My girlfriend (no pics) wants to know how to get in shape," and then proceeding to walk up to every pretty girl that looks in shape to you to ask them how they did it.
You'll get 200 different answers. But the point is, SPS/SharePoint site usage is HIGHLY prevalent in the BR area. Everyone uses it for all manner of reasons.

Jesus Christ. Chill out, Nancy. TD is one of many places I went for this info.
