Bathroom exhaust fan - switch type

I'm redoing my bathrooms and trying to decide what kind of switch I want to put my bathroom exhaust fans on. Normal switch, timer switch, presence sensor switch, etc. What's everyone doing and why?

there are other options as well. Just a timer switch might shut off fan if there is still moisture present. If its in a bathroom with no shower, timer or normal

I'm putting one in the toilet room. My wife will turn that vent on when she pees and leave it on all freaking day.

Good idea.
Though I think my fan has a moisture sensor? Though I can't find the specifics on it.

yeah if your fan already has the sensor built in no need for the moisture sensor but its really the best thing in the world.
make sure your fan vents to the outside of your house..as humid as the southeast is, venting to the attic was incredibly dumb. i've had to update mine.
eta i replaced mine with these:

great price and no need to rewire the switch as the vent handles everything.

Flip switch or humidity, check out the Delta brand fans. Excellent quality and not too pricey.

Timer switch. Just set it to at least 10 minutes when your done with the shower.

not when you can get a moisture sensor for around the same price.

Maybe put a humidity switch in parallel with a timed switch or find a single switch unit that handles both? The timer will keep the fan going for a while after you leave the fouled bathroom to remove odors. The humidity switch in parallel will ensure that the fan runs when the bathroom is humid, no matter what the timer switch is doing.
As someone up there said, make sure it vents outside the building's envelope, not into the attic. Otherwise, your attic will feel and smell like swamp arse and black mold.

Yeah I'm going through the attic and out the roof.

Timer switch is like $10

With the moisture control my vent kicks on and off automatically. I never touch the switch or worry the room is still too damp when it goes off.

Can you get the moisture sensor one for $10? My response was that the gentleman that I replied to said they were comparable in price.

Thanks all. I ordered a moisture switch. Apparently the fan I got requires an additional humidity module so I just got the humidity switch instead
