Apple Watch?

Is it really worth the price point? I have a garmin watch I use a lot for golf and running. It’s a data machine but just looks clunky and doesn’t work seamlessly with my phone.
The golf apps are all third party where you’re running an app on the phone and to the watch. Where the garmin golf is actually built in to the watch.
Not sure if the workout data is as in depth as a garmin.
Thinking of getting a Whoop for my in depth fitness data. Idk. For $600-800 is it worth it? About the same price I paid for my garmin.

I like mine, I use it mostly for the fitness data and such. That’s about all I’ve got got.
It’s the only smart watch I’ve owned

An Apple Watch 3 is around $170 on Amazon.
Probably all you need.

Is there a big difference between Apple Watch 3 vs SE?
Thinking about scooping the 3 on amazon for $170.

The SE has an updated chip so it runs faster... its more "future proof" based on the specs.

Went from a Rolex to a smart watch about 8 mos ago. Currently have the Nike cellular model for both running/music/texts/calls combined with the AirPods is great. Nice not having to keep my phone in my pocket all the time. $10/mos at&t.

Never buy old tech. It’s not a vehicle

Don't buy the 3. It'll probably have support dropped in a year or so. SE has a much newer CPU and will probably be supported for the next five years or so.

I'll say it - I think the stainless is worth it if you're committed to the ecosystem. It's just much better looking, especially if you're wearing it in a professional setting.
For better or worse I'm fully Apple, which means Apple products are usually worth it to me for seamlessness. I'll probably eventually get AirPod Max headphones even though they're stupid expensive because over time having tech that isn't ever finicky is worth it to me. Apple Watch is more or less in that category too.

Agreed. I got sucked into Apple ecosystem because of seamless integration. I got sick of devices that randomly stop working or disconnect or drop calls.
Apple Watch is great, especially if you have Airpod Pros. They sync perfectly, and you won't miss any calls or texts. It's great when I work from home I can listen to Airpods and not worry about missing calls or txt messages.
Although I can't justify the cost of Airpod Max considering I have Pros.
