You really don't see how this is an annoyance for people?
I don't think it'll harm Apple, but look at the Macbook retinas. That single port isn't a killer, but it definitely annoys the shite out of a lot of people.

Did they conveniently leave out what resolution the 7 and 7+ screens will have? All they said was it was a retina display bullshite

I mean that's you just being picky. Nothing wrong with it, some people just have other priorities.
I have a $400 pair of Sennheiser's for wired music, a $250 pair of wireless Beats for working out and then another $300 or so in a Sennheiser gaming headset.
Each one has a different role and purchased them each knowing that. If you aren't willing to shell out, that's not Apple's fault.

I own two MacBook Retinas at this moment and have never once been annoyed by that
People had to adjust. It's no different than tv's going from SD, to HD to 4K. Wired technology is a thing of the past when it comes to external devices.
