Now that I am not looking for a phone, I will share this link. Anyone who is pretty savvy and still looking for a phone can set this up and get notifications when your phone is in stock. It's not for people who don't know basic terminal or Linux commands. I won't provide support.

walked into a verizon store today here and Dallas and picked one up. I had already paid off the my iphone 6s so I took advantage of the trade in deal they have going on.
What was interesting is that the Rep told me that if I want to upgrade next year, all I have to do is turn the phone in again and Verizon will restart the 2 year contract over. I will not have to pay the remaining balance. So basically, you can keep trading in your phone every year and get the phone for free just resetting the contract.
Hope that ends up being true.

Sounds similar to the Apple upgrade program.
If that's the case..I am gonna pay off this 7+ by next year and trade it in to Verizon when the newest one comes out.

People are telling me to not get the 7 and just get a 6 or 6s. They told me it is a waste of money to get the 7. Thoughts?

Water/dust resistant, better camera, faster processor, a tad bit lighter, and more... I don't see why you wouldn't get a 7 vs. a 6s.

Finally back from my trip to Atlanta. Took a bit to get my phone. I apparently was the training sale for all the afternoon employees to learn how to do an existing upgrade plan. Had a crowd of Apple employees watching how my sale was conducted.
I was the 3rd black 7+ sold that day. They only had 2 7+ blacks this morning. Both were also preorders. This Apple store had 0 7+ phones for anyone who camped out for the phone this year. The employees were super jelly of my black 128. Apparently Apple expedited my phone's shipping specifically for me. The phone arrived from shipping about 15-30 minutes before my scheduled appointment, so it wasn't in store when they opened this morning.
Apple seriously fricked up stock this year for an Apple store to only get 3 7+ blacks.

I upgraded my wife's phone this morning without pre-ordering. Stood in line at ATT. Got Jet Black; 128 GB; iPhone 7.
I'm getting the plus in Matte Black, but I preordered and it's coming in October. My phone is working fine right now, but I'm looking forward to the upgraded camera. My wife's was destroyed and she's been limping through for about 4 weeks. She needed it more than me.

I read somewhere that there were no jet black 7's or any 7+ available for walk-in at any Apple store.

Verizon store in laffy told me that no 7+ came to the stores today. Wonder why the lack of stock this year?

I'm sure there was a few at the flag ship stores like 5th Avenue, but everywhere sounds like it was empty of them.

Don't think it was lack of stock, may have been more demand than the last two years from preorders for + phones. Looks like they are having problems producing the jet black in high quantity, so that one is not going to be as plentiful.

Jet black = black plastic.

Yeah, that's one I'm going with this time. Looks very slick and a nice change for me from my current white/silver iPhone.

It's gloss black and it's not plastic, what did you expect from a gloss paint? It scratches easy and gets finger prints easy, but the gloss looks good if you can maintain it. I couldn't so I got matte.

I have never owned an iPhone but I was hoping to get this one. My friends said the music app and stuff sucks. I think i might get anyways
