still disappointed with the shitty earbud design
serious question; is this proprietary or is apple making their spec available for 3rd parties to design alternate headphones?

listening to music on an iPhone or most steaming services means they're already losing sound and audio quality
something that has bothered me since switching from android to iphone is how much worse music sounds. i think apple music streams at a lower byte rate but even when using google music on the iphone (on highest quality at 320), the sound quality is awful.
add that to the fact the apple doesnt let you customize the native equalizer = a very poor music experience on the iphone

i feel like i'm the only one who has no problem with the apple buds. the newer model is comfortable and stays in my ears

no idea, but if you are talking about the shape of the earbud, i think my galaxy s6 shipped with buds that were designed exactly the same as apples. they just added a felt cover to them
edit: not exactly the same but similar. neither stayed in my ears

So should I buy from ATT or Apple?

I always preorder on Apple's website. It's completely integrated with AT&T and has been a seamless transaction/activation every time. Personally, I'm going to go with the Apple upgrade plan so we get AppleCare+ on the phones. Seems to definitely be worth the extra $5/payment in my mind.

So they come out with this awesome jet black color to only release a statement that it'll basically scratch pretty easily. What's the fricking point.
Do you have a link to that? I don't think I've seen that statement. It could make my decision REALLY easy.

This has become a more important question with the way they've changed the plans. Right now if I leave AT&T, who I bought my phone from, I'd have to pay off my phone immediately. I assume that if I buy from Apple and decided to switch wireless providers I'd be able to keep the monthly payment plan going.

"The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process. Its surface is equally as hard as other anodized Apple products; however, its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use. If you are concerned about this, we suggest you use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone."

I'm pretty sure that's the case. If you get through Apple with their upgrade plan, I'm pretty sure the phone is unlocked and not specifically tethered to any one provider.

$29 for screen replacement according to the webpage though. Still cheaper than having to buy a completely new phone.

For the first time, Apple is not releasing iPhone sales opening weekend. They know they're fricked.

No way.
They charged me $100 plus tax back in February or March.
