If so what location (city) and which one?

I already know I will get stupid/slide remarks and know what they will be :)

New Orleans metro area, Model S Plaid. You literally just sit back and let it go. Got little wraps to put on the steering wheel to mimic your hands on the wheel so it doesn’t stop.

Seeing as how that's not how it works -> at all <- i'm questioning the accuracy of the rest of your post.

Bold move, how does it handle carjacking situations?

I get the joke but honestly, it’s not that good looking of a car. And for $150k, the quality isn’t exactly mind blowing. It is fun as frick to drive around. I wouldn’t want it for my daily driver though.

It did OK with some hiccups. Seems to be they will do their best when more and more of them replace human driven cars as they will be able to communicate with each other and avoid surprises.

It's based on torque applied to the steering wheel, it does not detect your hands.

I was in Phoenix for the Super Bowl and took advantage of the Waymo driverless taxi.

It’s a Jaguar I-Pace SUV. You summon it and pay using a similar user interface as Uber and Lyft.

To get in, you push a button on your app. The door handles then make themselves available. You sit in the car and push another button on a screen either in the car itself or on your app for the car to start its route.

You can see the difference in images the car uses to see people, other vehicles, and objects. The car’s technology was detecting people before I even saw them.

It always delivered me to my destination safely with no worries along the way. It was like having a non-human chauffeur with the same smooth driving skills.

Room for improvement would be a larger area of service (will come in time), route selection seemed like the safest (avoided some fricky intersections) rather than the most direct, and it dropped me off near my hotel rather than in the designated passenger drop-off area of my hotel. Another minor complaint was that the drop-off and pick-up spot at the airport was actually at the passenger rail instead of the terminal. But I understand why since the AI didn’t have to deal with the chaotic nature of pedestrians and vehicles encountered at most airport terminals. Another minor complaint is it wasn’t obvious how to get the trunk open for luggage- so I just kept it in the back seat.

Its more of a serious joke. Lets say you are riding one of these things and one of the nice locals pulls up on the vehicle you are riding in with guns drawn.

We saw this scenario with a guy in a telsa and he ducks down and backs away and turns down another street to get out of there.

What would one of these self driving vehicles do? If the guy with the gun stands in front of the vehicle, i assume it wont go and run him over.

I must have gotten lucky, but it took about 7 minutes for the car to pick me up.

That’s better than some of my Uber/Lyft experiences.

Model S. It’s great for sitting in traffic and interstate long trips. However, I would not trust it for taking me from point A to point B.

I don't have self-driving but my Ram has adaptive cruise with stop and start. I hardly use it. It's nice and works really well but I find myself just wanting to take control.

Best thing I use it for is if I'm in traffic on interstate.
