Anyone have a Garmin Forerunner 935 and can provide some pros/cons?

I have an older Apple Watch and pretty much never wear it. Just never liked it. Friend just upgraded to a Garmin Fenix and said he’d sell me his 935 for $100. He said he bought it brand new right after Christmas 2020, so it’s a little over a year old. Reviews are pretty solid on it. I don’t really care much for the smart features as far as texts and whatnot. Most of my exercise is tennis, mountain biking, and hiking. I really like the idea that it measures elevation change, but no onboard music is kinda lame. I usually have my phone with me though. I have small wrists. Is this thing gonna look massive?
I figure $100 is almost like a free trial.

I mean, for $100, it's a great watch. If it's not your style though and you will feel "funny" wearing it, then it's not a good purchase.
It honestly sounds like you just need to buy a watch that suits your style.

We know.
The forerunner isn’t GPS enabled, correct? It’s essentially just a heart rate monitor with some other standard smart watch features. I have the Fenix like your buddy and it’s become an essential tool for me.

I have a Forerunner 245 Music, which is a newer, smaller, but less "outdoor activities" watch than the 935. The 935 has good battery life for stuff like hiking and can do multiple sports, but like you said it doesn't have built in music capabilities. If that's something you ultimately want, probably save your money and go with the 245 Music. Keep in mind you'll have to have Bluetooth headphones and using gps with the music chews through battery. From a full charge, if I go on an hour run with a podcast playing I drop to probably 60%

Product description says it does. I’ll double check because that is one feature I’d definitely want to have.

I wouldn’t be interested without it, but if it is included you’re getting a steal for $100.

Just ordered/received the Phenix 6 thats on sale for $300 since i believe the 8 is coming out…i like it so far…has taken a little getting used to coming from apple watch…but feels like a much better quality watch

The lack of music isn’t a dealbreaker, especially for just $100. I don’t run, nor really ever listen to music while doing active things. Walking the dog and casual bike ride around neighborhood are the only two instances I can think of, and I usually have my phone with me on those.

I have the 935...love it...charge it about once every 10 days...the time is always visible, unlike on the Apple Watch.
For $100, definitely get it...

You can control music from the watch but you can't store music...and you can get notifications/texts from your iphone...you just can't respond...it's a great watch.

Where did you find a Fenix 6 for that price?
