I hope your favorite color is green You're friends are going to think something is wrong with their phones for the first few days when they try to text or FaceTime you.

Samsung has their own version of face app. Which I'm sure is crap. Almost never used face time.

What about green?

I have an s10e and love it, buy I've always been an Android user.

Both iPhone and flagship Android phones all do the same stuff these days, just in different ways.

Unfortunately, Apple has the lead on texting with iMessage. Android being what it is has led to disjointed messaging and a heavy reliance on SMS and MMS, which can't handle today's videos. Google is pushing the next generation of messaging protocol, RCS, but carriers have been slow adopters.

Even still, Apple is not yet playing well with RCS and may never play well with it. What that means from a practical standpoint is: use Google Messages for texting because you can use RCS. You'll have a very similar texting experience as iMessage when someone else is using Google Messages. However, until Apple plays with RCS, when you send videos to iPhone users they'll look like crap. It means the same to people who are not using Google Messages. I use Facebook Messenger to send videos to iPhone users. Another bonus of Google Messages is the web app. You can text from your phone on any computer if you go to messages.android.com and set it up.

Samsungs stock messaging app is supposed to be getting RCS rolled out but I haven't gotten that update yet apparently.

That's one thing I just don't get is why Android phones can't send or receive a video with a decent resolution.

We have a mix of iphones and androids in our family. We use WhatsApp for "facetiming", texting and sharing videos and pictures. I love it because the videos and pictures are automatically saved in my Google photos. So convenient for viewing pictures and videos of the grandkids.

Oh and the videos shared are crystal clear!

My friend tried to send a gif the other day in a group chat and everyone mocked the quality. He was the only green user.

I got the OnePlus 7 Pro and it's by far the best phone I've ever owned and it's not even close. It's one of the fastest phones on the market, has lots of RAM, and has a quick 90hz oled screen and is the best screen I've seen on a phone. Also it has a feature called Warp Charge...and it will charge from 0% to 50% in 20 minutes.

This thing kicks iPhone and Samsung's arse. Also I financed my phone directly through the manufacturer on the OnePlus website for 0% interest.

I still don't have it. Last update of May 1. Must be a slow rollout

I had the oneplus 6t and it ran well but I hate huge phones. I much prefer the smaller form factor of the s10e.

This is because Apple doesn't play with the rest of the industry.

Yeah I needed a second phone so I got a Pixel 3a about 6 months ago when they went on sale. At first it was kinda neat to explore and play around with Android ( still is to some extent), but I gotta say I'm a bit underwhelmed. It is fast, it is more customizable, but it's also much more unrefined compared to iOS. And I don't think the tight and seamless integration of iOS with every other Apple product can be beat.

Just sayin.

right and google has had RCS ready for years. it is the retards at ATT, Verizon, Sprint, Tmobile that are limiting its ability. I hate that they want to take stock android and fatten it up with all their shite. I would look at buying other phones if it came with stock android rather than whatever Samsung shite they put on there.

Then it is Apples fault for not integrating RCS into imessage. And to me i dont think apple has the upperhand with imessage. only people with iphones can use imessage. while RCS can be used on any phone or any OS if the developer adds it.

Once RCS is widely adopted they won't.

OneUI isn't bad. It has some bloat and I do prefer stock Pixel but I'm more turned off by the nasty chin on the smaller versions that I'd rather the nicer Samsung screen and use OneUI.
