I have several of these and have them placed on window sills facing out in front, back and sides of the house.

I was going to buy outside cameras until I decided to test one of these "indoor" cams inside facing out.

Very satisfied. They were 25 dollars on amazon when I bought them.

Just like grandad where I have them mounted both inside the window on the sills and have 2 mounted outside under my carport for the last 2 years. Work like a charm! $20 at home depot

You can also buy little weatherproof housings for them if you actually want to mount them outside where they could get wet. I think a 3 pack is like $15

How would they do under a carport?

I have mine under my deck looking out into my yard/kids playground. So far no issues.

Same. Just wish they could record to a NVR instead of an installed SD card

They can if you install the RTSP version of the software.

Do you have the smart lock and keypad? We are building and I’m really considering adding that to the new house

Not yet but also haven't even thought about it. We go through garage more than front door anyway

Wyze fan here. I have 2 outside under the eaves of my house and one on the porch. They're all covered, but exposed to the heat/cold and humidity. So far they're still working fine and it's almost been a year. Not bad for a cheapo product.

I also have a couple of 360 cams that I added at my business in addition to the corded nvr reolink system. Wyze cams are so easy to set up and you can literally access them anywhere with internet.

I have one outside, mounted on the wall of our pool house. Same thing as under a carport. No problems, and it's been there about 3 months. They are so cheap, if it did shite the bed, I wouldn't be out much money.
