Midfielder Ian Hoffmann (16) got his first minutes for the Karlsruher first team today, coming on in the 63rd minute in a 10-0 win over SV Sasbach. The US U18 international would end up scoring 15 minutes later to make it 8-0 in the 78th minute. LINK

According to Calcio Mercato, Genoa, Roma, Schalke, Everton, Chelsea, and Man City are keeping an eye on Bello.

I don't think he can get a European passport, so they can't sign him until he turns 18 in ~17 months.

I fully believe Bello has the potential to be a world class LB.

I haven’t seen him play. Do you really think he has that much potential? And what makes you think that?

Absolutely.

He's stood out just about every time I've seen him play. He started out as a forward and has slowly shifted back to defense. He's fast. Good skill with the ball. Good defender even against older players. I think Atlanta signed him to a homegrown contract when he was 15. If healthy, he'll easily be our starting LB at the 2019 U17 WC, and could also be on the U20 WC squad.

Qualifying for the U17 WC should be coming up soon. That would be a good chance to see him play.

In his debut ~15 minutes for AUFC, he assisted 2 scoring chances, which was tied for either 2nd or 3rd in the game.

I think only Barco had more with 6, most of which came from corners.

For a glimpse of Bello, I've found these clips...

Just a short 5 second clip at AUFC2 training, shows a little creativity on defense. LINK

A link to gifs of many of his touches from his MLS debut. LINK

Youtube video with a few clips of Joseph Scally (a RB) and Bello. Bello is the last ~50 seconds. LINK

Highlights from an AUFC2 match that included his 1st goal (at 0:28). Also a nice goal by Lagos Kunga. LINK

Highlights of an AUFC U16 match against Bethesda. Bello with a rocket of a shot right off the bat. Some nice moves to beat a defender at 3:25. Also has sime nice clips of Zyen Jones, who just joined Schalke. LINK

Just gotta remember he's 16 right now and almost always one of the youngest players on the field.

Looks more and more like Ledezma is signing with PSV in January. A few sources are pretty much confirming it.

Awesome move for him. US Soccer needs to change the USSF bylaws that affect youth players. Everywhere in Europe a club would get reimbursed for developing players, but here we lose all our best players without a penny of compensation. That's tough on MLS teams. I do worry that changing things would make our players less attractive to European clubs (because really American youth players are bargain deals at the low low price of free), however you could make the other argument that proper reimbursement would lead to investment in youth development and therefore better players.

@FutureUsmnt

Former US-U14 midfielder Patrick Leal (15) has signed with Portuguese powerhouse Sporting CP! Leal previously payed for the New England Revolution and Belenenses Academies. He also has dual Portuguese and American citizenship, which allows him to sign before he turns 18

Marlon Fossey tore his ACL/MCL. Underwent successful surgery but can be expected to be out for a year.
