Flo had conversations with Gregg as early as 2021.

Hudson was the first one he met at a USMNT camp

Wagner stated that Sargent sustained a "serious ankle injury".

If Balogun exclusively communicated and committed to a national team’s interim coach, I’m concerned about his decision making.

Berhalter is not my guy by any means, but his setup one more recruiting battles than it lost. And for as great as this generation is, our roster would be pretty meh without those guys I listed.

It really goes to show how toxic the fan base has become where you and I feel the need to post our “frick Gregg” credentials before having to correct misleading info that is only being pushed to further the “frick Gregg” cause.

why does the coach have to be the deciding factor here? he's young, the WC is in the USA, and we have a weak striker pool.

Mr Magoo could be the USMNT coach and we would still have alot to offer someone like balogun.

Of course Balogun didn’t choose USMNT because of Gregg, but it’s disingenuous as hell to say that we haven’t been proactive in our recruitment plans since Gregg took over.

And I think the most refreshing thing about our approach to recruiting since 2019 is that we’re not just doing the Jürgen method of capping everyone who has an American passport and then seeing how they fit in afterwards. That shite fractured the frick out of the team’s chemistry. The best thing Gregg has done for the USMNT since taking over is reestablishing a culture where it means something to wear the crest again.

I’d say the players and advances in social media have played a huge role in the current chemistry of our team.

And Gregg buying into that has helped.

This idea that he can’t receive credit for anything positive that has happened with the USMNT since 2019 is just ridiculous, especially if he is going to get blamed for every bad thing that happens.

ETA: Social Media was a thing from 2015-2017, didn’t seem to help Jürgen and Bruce

I think people wish we had someone better.
Me included.

And people need someone to blame.

Gregg knows this. I don’t think he sweats it.

The chemistry would exist with or without GGG most of this group of players played together in the youth ranks. Greg's job was to not mess that up which he came close to doing at the moral leadership conference.
