The skill level was pretty shite but it was an entertaining match. Celtic's player recruitment especially in Japan where Postecoglou used to manage has been spot on.

Yea the SPL is shite
The only thing at Rangers and Celtic have over MLS players in the player pool
Is the week in week out competition for their place. Both those sides could win MLS
The pressure and atmosphere at matches
That and the handful of games the champions league or Europa they get
But the week in week out level in Scotland is bad, such a distance gap from the 90s and 2000s.

LAFC could win the SPL with Rangers and Celtic in it. It would be a challenge
But definitely a bunch of MLS sides would finish 3rd behind the old firm.

Celtic/Rangers matches in the 90's were on my list of must watch (Boca/River, Milan/Inter, Barça/RM and Fla/Flu).

Rangers made the Europa League final last year. Ask yourself, can Dallas or Philly do that? An MLS team finally won the CCL. They would be fighting for 3rd. They could have 1 year out of 15-20 where they could challenge but year in year out....nope.

I was replying to your post......you said Dallas or Philly could win the SPL. LAFC could give the best challenge based on their roster. Euro Final would be very difficult

Just because Rangers made the Euro final one year doesn't mean Philly and Dallas would finish below them every year.
Not saying Dallas and Philly would win it year in and year out either. Just that they could both frick around and win it because the SPL is that shitty.
