Honestly, I don't give a shite if people dislike on here, but I am glad you are telling me that cause I hate when posters get in some long argument and then say shite like "I think you are a good guy". I respect your honesty.

I also don't care if I overreact to this. There is no rule saying you have to be a sunshine pumper or love the coach. I have maintained my principles on Jurgen the whole time, and I see no reason to change. I have always been cautiously optimistic of Jurgen, but I have hated the shite he has done with our stars and held the condition that I would hate him and want him sacked if he fricked up with one of our best players.

I am very happy to have four points, but let's not pretend we are playing incredible soccer. Almost everyone on here (myself included at times) tends to overrate our guys. A couple posts above someone compared us fricking Germany. Ghana dominated us. We cannot close out games. We got the win and that is all that matters, but let's not act like we are world beaters.

The USMNT has been more or less improving at a nice rate since 1990. Jurgen has helped continue the positive trend like practically every other coach we have had. Our biggest improvements have come with how the federation has improved and modeled after continental powers. I am very thankful for that because I think the us will continue to progress in future cycles.

It is obviously not the popular opinion because now some people disagree or dislike me on here, but I don't have to like our coach or support him. I agree with Philipp Lahm on this.

By our stars you mean landon? Bc he's gotten the best out of Dempsey, Bradley, Altidore, Jones and introduced and cultivated a star in Fab Johnson.

Leaking late goals is on the players not jurgen. That Portugal game was fantastic soccer on our part. Ghana wasn't but we got the result and Ghana looked great against Germany. This is rant level Les Miles illogical hate from you

awe im sorry he has been a tough coach, maybe next time around we can get Wyclef or Bono for U2 and they can bring some positive energy. AND thank good we never got Van Gaal, or Sir Alex, or Jose to coach us because our players prbly couldnt handle it.

Im not going to rehash the reasons the JK refused to bring a disrespectful LD, because i believe even if we won the WC, you would still bash him for this decision. Maybe it was a power grab by JK but look at the managers who refuse to do this like Moyes.

we are not but we certainly are playing better than our talent level. something is going right and i think you are refusing to acknowledge one of the big reasons.

Wynalda should mind his own business.

How are you raising me with Per? Good for Klinsmann for not burning all his bridges in Germany.

I love how there was a time when half the board wanted JK gone and the Strauss article came out. I just don't understand why you act like our coach is god. I am obviously the complete opposite, but i don't see why he deserves hero worship.

None of this shite is new from me. I have not wavered. I said my dream scenario is for the USMNT to win the World Cup and Jurgen gets sacked. He is an average tactical manager, and I want a better one. Jurgen is usually a good motivator and preaches fitness. He is not a bad coach, but he is no legend.

Now you're reaching Suarez levels of crazy, but at least you admit to it.

Idk why you're all so down on JK. He was brought in because of his experiences as a coach and a player. He hopefully will be able to help USMNT set up better recruiting pipeline and to help advance the sport. Just because you don't like his tactics, really ? You're going to say you can do more with the players than he can? He has to work with what we have. We might not have the best players, but if you have athleticism, fitness and can cut down on stupid mistakes, you can play some quality ball.

He isn't an idol, he is however someone that is highly qualified to help bring our program up to speed and help make us competitive. You don't need a legend(Donovan), you need someone who isn't afraid of change and is willing to do what they're asked. ( Demarcus Beasley)

I know I am irrational on Klinsmann, but he stopped being rational on 5/22. It slightly dampened how I feel about soccer.

I was absolutely captivated by Donovan and our team in 2010. I did not think I could get so attached to a new team and sport. It was definitely a childlike joy that I found from it because I knew literally nothing about soccer before 2010. In a couple years between watching games and learning from this board, I became really into soccer, especially Donovan and the USMNT. It sucked to have him ripped away on a bullshite power move by the coach. He had to retire eventually, but he deserved better than that.

I disagree with the mentality of a decent amount of people on here towards Bob Bradley and Jurgen. Almost everyone wanted Bob shitcanned and a lot of the people were close to wanting Jurgen cut. Now, it is a sin if anyone says anything negative about him.

The reason you get shite on for saying bad shite about Jurgen is because he's done a great job... I didn't mind Bradley, but it was hard to get that interested in Bradley boom ball. That technique can win a game here and there, but it will never be a style that will get you to powerhouse.

Jurgen put himself out there and knew changing methods could and would take time to catch on, but it has been a very positive step forward for the American side.

If you want to cite a power move by Jurgen as the reason you don't like him, step back and look in the mirror cause you are doing the same thing with all your Jurgen hate.

Bro, it's okay to be mad that Lando didn't make it. But think about it, do you really think Jk would have it left him off, if it weren't for the fact Lando wasn't buying in and being a team player ?

The Donovan decision was questionable, but no, he didn't stop being whatever your definition of rational is on May 22nd.

Oh, so Donovan was like your idol and you can't get over him not making the team. I get it.

Bob deserved to get the boot because he had pretty much reached his peak as US manager. We needed someone who could really help with the development of soccer in this country, while improving our squad, and Jurgen has done that.

Did you ask can I do better than Klinsmann? Obviously not. I don't have to like his tactics. I hated his stupid experiment with the diamond.

Practically everyone did what he asked. Brad Evans learned to play RB for Jurgen and was fairly good for us. Then, Jurgen moved him to center back in camp. Why? Evans has no experience there.

Timmy Chandler turned down call ups. He did not play for the national team for like 15 months straight. He tried to avoid getting capped for a while because he wanted to play for Germany, which is logical.

Let's not act like Jurgen only took the 23 guys who always did what he said. Almost every player did their job to prepare for the World Cup. You take the best players.

Seriously, how fun is it going to be when Gus Johnson and Wynalda are calling all of the US games in 2018?

Is it possible you are having difficulty separating the relative lack of USMNT talent from your perception of his shortcomings as a tactician?

Lalas and Twellman are lightyears ahead of Wynalda. The two formers actually have an iota of what they are talking about.

I'm no soccer expert, but it's easy to see this USA team is more of a complete team compared to past teams. If this new USA head coach is the reason for all that. He deserves major kudos for making USA WC soccer more than a one or two trick pony show. It's different this time around and I see much better ball control in 2014. If the past USA stars couldn't deal with this change and were in the way of USA soccer moving forward. Good luck to them, and hope things work out for them. Like I said earier, if the USA finds a few more goal scorers, they'd be in OK shape.....

Hopefully this USA WC team keeps going
Gooooo USA !!!!!!!
