Oh, you're right. I was just referring to how it used to be in America because soccer was more of a niche sport than it is now. It's always been that way in soccer countries.

For the most part, I was talking about this board. There'll always be irrational people. You can't take that out of sport.

That's the problem. It used to be isolated to one poster (tnbhoy) but now the shitposting, flaming, and trolling has blown up. I'm generally (irl and here) a pretty chill guy but I definitely get my jimmies rustled by those who do nothing but provide negativity to the board.

And I would argue TN Bhoy isn't as bad as some of the newer posters. His constant Celtic threads were annoying, sure, but he contributed to good discussions.

He definitely isn't as bad. There are some newer posters on here that I don't think have ever contributed anything of substance in any post they have ever made

At times he does. I can see your argument for the fact that he contributes, positively (to some discussions), in a way that the new trolls do not. He generally stays away from the "lol ur a fgt go cry u little bitch" verbiage we get from some trolls, and he prefers to just piss us off with his asinine opinions with no basis in reality. That said, it's clear as day that his negative outweighs his positive contributions

Lots of blame on new posters but I've been following more than posting here for a very long time and there has always been a pretty cynical and critical feel.
