There weren't away goals to rely on in the CL Final either. Not saying the original point was a good one but neither is yours...

To answer the original question Dortmund almost for sure no, Bayern is better than United but United have done an amazing job of finding ways to win games this year. How many times have they come back from deficits or found ways to win ugly 1-0 type games? If they win their final 5 games they will set the all time premiere league record for most points in a season. As good as Bayern may be I don't see them just walking into the PL and topping that number.

I think this Bayern team would win the EPL, but it would be more difficult than winning the Bundesliga.

I also think it would force the big spenders to become even better(City, Chelsea, United). Bayern wouldn't be in a class of their own, as they are in Germany.

So Bayern or Dortmund would "easily" win the league over a team that may very well break the all time first division points record? So dumb.

This United team isn't as good as previous BPL teams. I don't think it holds a candle to the 04/05 Chelsea team or the 03/04 Arsenal team. I think United's treble winning side is better than this iteration. Hell I think Chelsea's 2009 team was better. The league as a whole is very weak this year. Lots of teams in transition.

I think this Bayern team is special. They would surely be top three this season. They are physical, technical, and fast. They are organized well defensively, and they are efficient.

Dortmund is an exciting team. They were better than Man City in their two games against them. I don't know if they have the depth to compete week in and week out, but their first 11 are as good as any in the BPL, they have a smart manager, and they play a lovely style. They would compete for a top four spot.

Would they be able to build a team that stacked in the BPL?

It doesn't matter what you think of United this year, and I agree they are nothing special overall. However, you can't deny the fact they are well within reach of breaking the ALL TIME points record in the top flight of English football. Nobody is "easily" surpassing that.

Exactly. If Bayern was given the same financial opportunities as teams in the EPL, it would be real interesting to watch for a season.

Now could an EPL team win the Bundesliga title while following the Bundesliga's financial restrictions? Just throwing that out there...
