I think that this is something, or will be something, that Ligue 1 set up to put Monaco on a level playing field
Posted on 12/8/13 at 6:19 pm to Keys Open Doors
Isn;t Monaco getting bent over by FFP?

Hearing reports of Mix Diskerud to West Ham. More to come tomorrow.
is this good or bad?
When was this tweeted? I don't see it on his timeline, just curious.
If Mix moves to West Ham, I feel like that would be a very good move for him.

Mix would flourish in the Bundesliga.

West Ham's midfield looks pretty weak. I bet Mix can definitely in the rotation.

Would love to see him move there if he can't find a better EPL side than West Ham where he can get regular playing time.
Also would hate to see two USMNT players get relegated to the Championship.

I wonder if this window will finally see the English teams start to raid the Russian and Ukrainian leagues for non-Brasilian talent.
Posted on 12/9/13 at 12:16 pm to TN Bhoy
shite I was them I'd raid those plus the Belgian, Dutch, Austrian, Swiss, Danish, Swedish, Argentinian, Colombian, Chilean, Portuguese, German, Spanish, Italian ... hell I'd raid everywhere but Ireland, Scotland & England and save those for last.

Would be appropriate that it'd be an American central midfielder who would drive Sebastian Lletget further into purgatory.

Consensus among West Ham fans still seems to be reasonably positive but that he won't really have any considerable first team opportunities as long as Big Sam is there.
Think that he's still bouncing between their U21 team and the bench, without an actual first team appearance to his name.
Clock is ticking.

If Liverpool are looking to cash in on Suarez next summer, they would do well to buy Andriy Yarmolenko from Dynamo Kyiv for around 15 million or so. I know they were scouting him recently.
He can play either as a out-and-out left-winger, or as an inverted left-sided striker. He plays the physical part for his 6'3" size, yet has the best technical ability of any Ukrainian player right now.
Hell I'd be content if Arsenal somehow swooped in on him.

He and Dzagoev were who I had in mind.

CSKA pays enormous wages, as do other oligarch funded Russian sides. This is why sought after players like Dzagoev, and Seydou Doumbia haven't been sold yet. AC Milan probably had to kill someone along with paying a transfer to secure Keisuke Honda's winter transfer.
Dyanmo Kyiv is in a far worse financial standing. As Ukraine continues to protest the government, the currency (hryvnia) drops in value. Yarmolenko is not going to get a post-World Cup inflated transfer fee with Ukraine failing to qualify, so Dynamo might try to sell now.

I know we looked at him hard over the summer, but havent seen him linked recently
TBH, I'd rather his international teammate Yeven Konoplyanka, this guy is every bit as good...
Also, I think we are looking really hard ay M'Villa from Rubin Kazan, according to a lot of reports + his recent visit to Merseyside to hang out with Sakho..

What's bizarre about him is that whenever people talk about him they say that he is really, really good. They were saying he looks better at his age than Lampard did coming out of that academy. During the U-23 olympic qualifying debacle, Terrance Boyd got interviewed and was asked who the best player on the team was. He said Lletget, who was only what, 19?
Anyway, it would be awesome to see an American CM with Mix and Lletget one day.

I remember the when the rumor mill got going for this one and I liked the move then. We could surely use some width players ... so I'd be okay with it.

Isn't Honda supposed to be available?

I thought he was going to AC Milan IIRC.
ETA: Transfer news: AC Milan will sign Adil Rami and Keisuke Honda in January
