I'm thinking not. It feels like change is in the air at the Emirates and Wenger has even publicly talked about how he won't pick his replacement like Sir Alex. Things are kind of stagnant over there right now and if they could lure Martinez away from Everton they could right back in the top 4 next year.

What if he brings Rafa and Gerard Houllier on as his assistants?

Ryan Giggs takes over at Liverpool

Win the FA Cup and go out with a trophy

or...

fail to win the FA Cup and it is obvious that it is time for something new for both sides.

Either way it just feels like the right time.

i thought about wenger leaving this weekend...i just don't know if they can get an adequate replacement

but now that they spend money, perhaps they don't need wenger. they should just say frick it and hire atletico's manager and completely change styles. i'd love to watch the gunner fans on here melt down next year

we're a pretty damn attractive job, especially if we can somehow hold on to 4th. would imagine we'd call Low, Klopp, Simeone, Martinez, Tuchel, etc. Bergkamp and Dragan Stojkovic would be dark horse candidates. Arsene's been the highest paid manager in the world for awhile, so salary wouldn't be an issue.

sure seems like AW is out after this year. if we lose Saturday, he's definitely gone. he's been great for us, and in a few years, i think his accomplishments will be held in even higher esteem, but it does seem like his time is coming to an end.

Don't let Simeone's pragmatism in big games fool you. Though the team is well organized, they, particularly their midfield, are absurd technically and can still pass you off the field if you aren't Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, etc.

We've got a good core for a few different styles and money to fix holes elsewhere.

Their first XI when healthy, is the best I´ve seen this year. Anywhere.

Their bench is weak, and Manquillo´s injury didn´t help.

Filipe Luís may pip Marcelo as Brazil´s starting LFB.

i didn't mean it like that

wenger is still a super duper elite manager. there aren't that many out there on his level, even with his faults.

They're good Dandy, but they aren't that good.

Any ways, I think a change is needed for Arsenal. Not so much managerially, but tactically. We all know Arsene won't change his approach, so Arsene leaving will be necessary.

I think it's good that he won't be selecting his successor. SAF did that and basically picked a carbon copy of himself, I'm guessing because he thought that things would just continue chugging along, and we have seen that there is no other person that can be SAF. The same applies to AW. People keep throwing around Martinez's name saying that he plays the same attractive football and what not but I think hiring him would be a mistake. There needs to be a culture shock at Arsenal. Bring in Klopp or Simone and change the way things are done. Those guys are opposite in their approach, but they are still quality.

When AW finally does leave, his philosophy needs to leave with him, otherwise Arsenal are going to nose dive in the same way ManU have.
