Did some of our MLS guys let us down? yes
But other stepped up big time like Belser, Yedlin and Beckerdreads.
Gonzo and Wondo were downright bad

I hate to say it, because he is one of my favorite players, but for me, Zusi was not very good against Belgium either.

Exactly. Gonzo's only option was to either let it roll past him or to stick out his foot and stop it. Sadly, Besler was a bit out of control and overran the ball which cut of Omar from defending. Like I said, wish Besler had just cut down Lukaku at midfield to prevent the odd-numbered break.
As for the second, yeah, it was the fact so many were forward then Lukaku slipped through a crack while de Bruyne played a perfectly weighted ball right into his path which was finished brilliantly. Defenders trying to defend while running at their goal takes perfect communication and reaction, and I think the communication just broke down a bit.

MLS sponsorhip is fricking Team USA's chances of winning the world cup
MLS was founded in late 1993 because the US was hosting the world cup 6 months later. With the US being involved they anticipated a surge in US soccer interests.
The US finished the 1994 world cup better than they had done in 60 years....but in the WCs after that....we've been piss poor. Could it be this "favoritism" for crap MLS players?
Benching these EURO talents is like choosing NCAA basketball players to play in the Olympics with NBA players on the bench.

Do people not realize how terrible Aron was aganst Ghana? He completely took himself out of the match. The football equivalent would be a reciever running a fly when his route was a hitch. He needs Jozy more than the team as a whole does.

Umm...the other option was to just let it roll through. He really was just in a shite situation through no fault of his own. He stopped the ball from crossing the goal-mouth the only way he could. Unluckily, an opposing attacker was lurking to pick it up. You can't put that one on Gonzo. On the other goal, yeah, he was jogging back. I'm not sure he could have helped, but it looks bad for sure. I'm not even defending his performance as a whole, but the two goals were not his fault today. He may have played poorly and allowed other chances Howard saved, but the two balls that hit the back of the net are not on him.

Eh, as I've said, he could have played the first one smarter. Most EPL and other world class defenders know to make the smart foul and take the yellow card when you have a man of Lukaku's power and speed with a chance to get into open space. Besler also overran the ball after it rolled away from Omar. I don't blame Besler, but he could have played it better. The second one was just getting caught attacking and what appears to be a breakdown in communication to Besler that Lukaku was on his shoulder and about to come across him. No, that's not on him.
