pogba is great but i'm sorry, he isnt as good as modric.

this game is gonna come down to Kante vs rakitic and perisic

france has had the advantage of getting mbappe great service the entire world cup. and they still havent scored a lot of goals besides the argentina game when argetina was chasing points.

the scariest thing about croatia is how deep modric and rakitic will go back to maintain possession and dance circles around u.

i dont understand the odds, my money is a value bet at +192 on modric/croatia

France's depth at every level, Croatia has had to play an extra game and one less day of rest.

France has been scoring as much as Croatia has in the knockout round, and France has been playing tougher teams.

My money would definitely be on France, but I'm also terrible at betting on games.

they have one of the best XI in world football. Their bench is pretty freakin good also, and it’s nowhere near as strong as it could be. Simply put, France is more talented. But the people that have France as major favorites fail to account that Croatia has a talented team that just works together.

Modric is arguably the best midfielder in the world and has been for 3 years now. Rakitic was completely dominant against Argentina. Mandzukic and Perisic each have two goals.

France have not truly “dominated” a game like Croatia have so far, and it was just a couple weeks ago we were saying how France was struggling majorly in the group.

And after everything some of those Croatian players went through as children with the war, I really want to see them win it all.

FWIW I think it’ll be an amazing game, my body is ready to see Giroud lift the World Cup (or Modric/Rakitic, I’m not complaining) but I’m sad the tournaments just about over

France has a much deeper squad. I'm rooting for Croatia, and they certainly have a chance. But France easily has the better team from top to bottom. Don't overthink it.

yep. i agree with all of this completely. France isnt a joke, but people acting like they are dominating this game are too biased from the belgium game. they forget that this same team tied USA and scored 3 goals in their weak group.

Croatia isnt a team to frick with lol by any means.

Pogba is good but he might get swarmed by 3 great players in a system that allows them to swarm you.

its gonna be an awesome game but mbappe can be a game changer

I doubt Croatia scores a goal. France is stupid deep all over the field. And kante won’t let modric & Rakitic control the midfield. Les bleus by at least 2 goals.

Let’s see

They HAVE the best young player in world football.

The best midfielder in the world

The center backs of Real Madrid and Barcelona

Starters for Bayern munich, Barcelona, and PERHAPS Liverpool ready in a moments notice off the bench

They beat Argentina, Uruguay, and Belgium in regulation while it took CROATS extra time/PKs to banish lesser opposition

The amount of rest France has vs. Croatia can't be overstated enough.

I think the 3 120 minute games and 1 less day of rest plays into it. Also, people sleep on Croatia.

I think France is going to win, but I’d not be upset if Croatia did.

One team needed penalties to beat Denmark and Russia and has trailed in every match during the knockout rounds while the other has been dominant and trailed for nine minutes during the entire tournament.

As a bettor, not so much someone who follows soccer you are right. There is very high value in Croatia. The court of public opinion seems to have already crowned France. That isn’t how those big arse casinos get built

Bovada has Croatia at +365 so I threw a couple bucks on them

But I think the only way they win is if they score in the first 10-15 minutes. Croatia has gone to PKs twice in a row I feel like they have to run out of gas eventually

its wild that france can draw denmark 0-0. beat peru 1-0, and beat australia 2-1 and somehow they are dominant af because they beat a uruguay team that struggled the entire tournament 2-0 and beat belgium 1-0.

croatia has looked very poor during the knockouts but they dominated russia and somehow leaked 2 goals. still more than spain can say as far as scoring goals to begin with goes.

they outclassed an england team for large stretches and trippier made an amazing set piece early and they rallied back from that

this croatia team beat argentina 3-0 and looked great in doing so.

France probably wins but people writing off croatia doesnt make sense. this is one of the more evenly matched games that we will see this entire tournament

Context is key. France didn't have its offense in place (trading Dembele for Girourd) when they played Australia. Peru is underrated, and France already won the group when they tied Denmark.

The Argentina Croatia played and the one France played were two different teams.
