I dont think he's received a total pass.. Ive heard plenty of people criticize him..

I dont agree with his position not to manage the match, but if he wants to play the kids, so be it... I think a few of our players getting back from injury could use the match time though..

If he didn’t make a big announcement and had just done it quietly no one would have said anything. He’s already done this once this year.
This is a nothing burger.

That’s a journey for those British based players. The Brits that come retire in MLS bitch about NY to LA

People in Sheffield bitch about going to Leeds and it is like an hour drive British people make me laugh when they complain about how far things are.

Yea Northern rail doesn't have fast trains at all

them things go slow as frick

if you want speed take the Virgin trains, but they are expensive as frick if you book last min.

I understood the first one, not really this one where every member of the first team will be in the same country.

This happened to City like five years ago with Pellegrini in the same competition. Cup fixture on Sunday, March in Ukraine on Tuesday. Pellers managed the match and played several first team players (Demichelis GOAT).

I just don’t really get how some fans are backing him for the decision, I guess. I’d want to win every competition possible.

Is there a law/mandate for him to be there? Or is it just some unwritten rule?

The way the scheduling has been with written and agreed upon rules, I’d not find myself inclined to follow the unwritten ones.

I don’t believe he has any obligation to be there. But that’s a pretty dick to move to make the match about that than about Shrewsbury hosting the best club in the world at the moment.

When Shrewsbury shows up to Anfield and gets played off the pitch it’ll all make sense. It’s Klopp’s squad. He can coach it (or not in this case) however he wants as far as I’m concerned.

Fans don't want to potentially risk Virgil, Salah etc for a cup that nobody can remember the past 5 winners.

They didn’t play them off the pitch last time with squad players and some youth players

Then he brought on big guns

Their Premier League 2 u-23 side isn’t going to play them off the pitch

There is a reason at most big clubs 80% of their youth players end up in the lower leagues

Liverpool’s academy other than TAA hasn’t been that good the last ten years or so

Ignorance at it’s finest

It isn’t the league cup

Not ignorant at all I'd just rather end the 30 year drought for a league title and keep trecking toward a potential Champions League repeat over the FA Cup. Now go worry about your top 4 battle.

It's wild how Liverpool fans shite on the FA cup on this board. People and players absolutely care about winning the competition. What Klopp is doing is pretty shitty imo.

Saying no one remembers the last 5 winners is ignorance and down playing how important the cup is

If you want to make history and win the treble you have to take is seriously

It shows how out of touch some of them are

The long time Liverpool fans here don’t seem to have that mindset

FA Cup is still a huge deal. A day out at Wembley is a big thing especially for the northern teams who get to bring 40k+ fans to a day in London

It’s the most accessible cup final for fan bases being on a Saturday
