I hate to be a negative nancy here, and I'm sorry...but the person who had their stock go down the most is Stu, IMO. Love the guy, love everything about him...and he showed moments of awesomeness and moments of uncertainty. But regardless of that, you can't play if every time you walk out onto the field the coach or trainer or teammates are thinking "will he make it out the game healthy?" It literally made me almost cry watching him devastated on the sideline, but it is what it is. We can't give a spot to a guy who may turn on a dime and his knee give out. Please don't bash me too hard over this...
And I loved what Bedoya did against the Panamanians...he was creative, smooth, and aggressive. Same exact thing could be said for Mix. When he came on in the 22nd minute or whatever it was, he immediately applied pressure and bright an intensity that lasted until the game was over. It was great to see that from him.

Yeah, I thought Torres was one of our more solid, consistent players this gold cup. He is at least in consideration for upcoming qualifiers and the WC next summer if his form holds.
Not sure how you juggle the numbers, but I think Klinsmann needs to give Corona, Bedoya and Mix some A team time in the upcoming qualifiers to see how well they integrate. At least 1 of them will be in Brazil next summer, and maybe all 3. Poor Stubear might be done.

Well, before the World Cup, Stu will hopefully have a full club season that he will get through healthy. That should alleviate any concerns. I think, unless he's seriously injured right now, he needs to be part of some of these WCQ camp call-ups just to keep him in the loop.
I for one, loved watching Stu actually play the past couple f weeks, but he really did not look like his former self yet. His touch was definitely off.

I was impressed with Bedoya, although his fouling needs to get under control. I like his effort.
I also was impressed with Beckerman and Ive previously hated the dude. He's a solid defensive mid. I think he should stay in that spot.

Parkhurst is game to game with me on whether I'm OK with him or not. Against El Salvador every single attack they had that game started down his side. And yesterday he was solid but was still a little slow to get into the attack at times. Dolo and Chandler are still clearly our first options out there. Then you have the options of Cameron, Parkhurst and Evans.
Love me some Mix. Kid has skill and a nice motor.
I still dont like the thought of Beckerman out there against WC competition. His lack of athleticism is his #1 fault. The end of the game yesterday was his bread and butter just cleaning shite up back there and he does that well. Maybe there is a place on the team for him as a late game sub for that role
It will be a numbers game in the end.
And GAM has to be our #2 striker behind Jozy now correct?

agreed. he's still young, but I feel like he's in serious need of a move. There are plenty of teams in better leagues that could see a great ROI after signing Mix.
