Where is this coming from? And how did you come to that theory from anything said in this thread?

Vato watches Mexican football, and obviously thinks it´s of superior quality.

Lol, están perdidos con buen futbol amigos! Sorry guys. I grew up watching South American fútbol, I’m a River/Catolica fan. I’ve been to many games in South America and Europe. I wish soccer in the US could one day reach the level of International play(It actually could). I’ve coached at the select level as well as High School level. The privilege kids are the ones that dominate US soccer, that’s unfortunate. I still root for the US because they are always the underdog in International soccer. I remember my days in the 80’s playing against Baton Rouge Jaguars, Lafayette. Wow, those were the days!

Huh?

WOW! None of us have even been to Europe before, much less watched a European match.

This is some brilliant stuff.

He has a point. They pay-to-play system prevents kids without much money from getting as far as they should. It's a sad reality of the system we have here, but Jurgen is trying to change that.

every kid i have ever known that was dirt poor but legitimately good somehow found a way to get onto elite teams. and they definitely weren't paying.

You realize Clint Dempsey wouldn't be the star he is today had his sister not died, right?

Money is money. For some families it's a limited resource. We can't sit here and act as if the pay to play system hasn't had an effect. There are exceptions, like the guys you know, and I've known some of them too. But we need to change the way that "select" is run.

He does. My son's club team cost is like 1/5 of the Fire club team. They have a lot of Hondurans who just got to the NOLA area. Their response when asked to join FC Nola is, "we have to pay to play"? It doesn't work that way from where they are from.

Ok I get that... But what does that have to do with this?

And again... What made you say that statement in this thread? It doesn't really fit in here at all considering the only thing people did in this thread was give their opinion on what team would be the surprise at the WC.

Just kind of a random statement, followed up with another random statement

I think he thinks this the OT. He´s trying to crash bang his way in.

He needs to chill and post with some semblance of sense.

Who knows, maybe we´ll learn something about Mexican football.
