Come on bro.

Mourinho does not implement a style that is pleasing to the eye

When he has the personnel to do so he does. Real owns the all time La Liga scoring record under Jose. If he doesn't, he does what he needs to to win.

Mourihno is great but it's odd that he seems such the hands down choice over Ancelotti here.

He has a similar CV several fewer years coaching and he has won with sides that no other manager would have won with.

That said, I really like Carlo.

That goes for virtually every top manager who has earned their way to a top gig. What separates Mou is what he has done with less as well. He's won huge in every single job he's had playing many different styles in many different leagues.

That Inter team he won with had no business winning the CL.

I agree that they weren't the absolute best but they were a whole lot better than this gives them credit. Also, they played tough and kind of ugly football with Cambiasso, Stankovic and Motta in midfield destroying everything.

This may not look great in 2014 but in 2009-10 it was a hell of a lineup:

GK: Julio Cesar

DF: Maicon Zanetti Samuel Lucio Chivu

MF: Cambiasso Stankovic Thiago Motta

ATT: Wesley Sneider Eto'o Milito

Sneider was arguably as good as player in the world all that season. Maicon Samuel Zanetti Julio Cesar Cambiasso Stankovic were all in top form

Milito couldn't miss

The problem was that Inter sold out their future to some degree to carry all these players on the end of their best years at the expense of youth.

that inter team had a lot of talent on it. not like they played an all-time great bayern side in the final either...

it's just rather ridiculous to argue for jose using the more with less argument since he's been blessed with so much more at his disposal for the majority of his managerial career.

if you want to go most with less, tough to top arsene in the Emirates era up until now.

There was a reason those guys all appeared to be in "top form" during his tenure. Just like Atletico for Simeone last year.

I knew Arsene would come up. Mourinho won UCL with fricking Porto. Arsene has led consistently very good and even great sides, but he has not been as successful as Mourinho.

laugh all you want. again, it goes to the fundamental question of if winning a trophy is everything. if so, sure, arsene's CV doesn't stack up. if you want to go by a truly revolutionary manager who changed the premier league, won many trophies, has developed huge talents, had a net budget of practically zero for 7-8 years while completing a stadium move everyone in England outside of ManU and Newcastle wish they could do, has been pursued by literally every top club for their managerial position, etc etc.

if jose had managed arsenal during that stretch, we probably would have had more cup wins. no doubt he's a better single-match tactician. i don't think he would have kept us top four every year, which for all the jokes about it being our trophy, would have devastated our club because our owners (then, owner now) didn't want to invest in the club.

Recreational sports? You could make an argument there.

Professional sports? Lulz.
