I run a pickup soccer group that plays every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at the LSU Natatorium at 6PM. Our Facebook Page
I organized an indoor team for the new indoor center.
I play coed BRSA summer league.
Started playing soccer in fifth or sixth grade. Played through high school, then did intramurals in college.
I just got an offer to help coach at my high school but had to turn it down since I'll be leaving the country in September.

Never played...football and baseball, for me. When I was growing up (70s) it appeared to be 20 guys running around kicking a ball aimlessly....the exact opposite of "beautiful"
Hated the sport until the WC in 1994. Really fell in love with the game watching the '98 WC.

played through middle school but quit right before I got to high school. I would play randomly now and then but never got back to anything other than pick up games.
But I joined an indoor team recently and have been having fun doing that. But I would love to get into BRSA.

Played for my high school team growing up in Florida and on a club team as well. Actually played in 2 state championship games at The Swamp in Gainesville.
Played club/intramurals at Alabama and coached various U6, U8, and U10 teams for the YMCA while in college.
I helped coach my son's select team for the past 6 years and volunteer for the ODP up here.
Now he will be playing school football during club season, so sadly, he won't be playing select any longer. He will play for the school team however.
I was a keep and a sweeper.

Played from 5through high school. Then played coed leagues on and off til now. I am 33 now and have two indoor teams that I sometimes play for. One is coed that I help out when I can. The other is a mens team that I have philosophical differences with, so I only play when they absolutely need me.
The traveling team I played on was damn good even though it wasn't really a select team. Won state for non select in Louisiana a couple times among other tournaments.
High school team was always solid but never made it past the quarter finals.

I played until I was 12. My parents wouldn't let me play on a competitive team because of the travel* and I was way too advanced for the rec teams. It got to the point where I had an extremely bad attitude because of boredom/frustration so I moved on to other sports (football and lacrosse). I've played several seasons of indoor over the past year or two.
*My sister was on a travel softball team and I'm 100% convinced my parents wouldn't allow me to join a competitive team b/c it would interfere with that. Yes, I still hold a grudge...

I've never played any more than the occasional pickup game. I've played Ice Hockey from 12 till now. I found in the last few years ive picked up a few things from soccer and translated them into hockey. Mainly passing into space and where the guy is going to be, not where he is.
I'd love to start playing soccer, but at 26 it seems a little difficult to find a place to start as a beginner.
