U13-U19, should be some good teams in town. Draws were posted today.
Son’s team drew Florida, South Texas, and North Carolina...
Here’re the groups and schedules...

Very bad. Dodged FC Dallas, but outside of Arkansas there really wasn’t much hope of getting a result.
It’ll be interesting to see if it’s more scheme or just outright more talented players. My son has decided not to go to the ODP regional camp, so this will be his only shot to measure the other ‘10’s out there.
Regardless, all three teams are top 25 in the region...my son’s team is 166th.

The President’s Cup (Comp 2) is happening in Round Rock, TX now and it looks like most LA teams aren’t faring too well.

Just looked, damn. The team my son’s team beat in the finals of state got skull drug in their first game, 12-1.

Does MS do a State Cup for Comp 1, a President’s Cup for Comp 2 and Open Cup for Comp 3, non-Comp and Rec?
That’s how LA does it.

Mississippi Soccer Association puts on a league where the top 4-6 teams play in the State tournament. If you make the finals you are required to go to the regional tournaments. Regionals for the winner, Presidents Cup for the runner up.
Other clubs play in GSPL, league where the top 4 play a tournament in which the winner goes to ‘nationals’.
Unfortunately that tournament was canceled this year, or my son would have played in both regionals.

The MS and AL teams were each a goal away, in their noon matches, from advancing at the Presidents Cup.
