Press had a much bigger penalty shout than Wambach. Someone as strong as Wambach should not go down like that.

I didn't know Bjorn from Vikings also played for Sweden......
But seriously, this team is not very good. Shitty to zero tactics as previously mentioned.

What a terrible game. US just looked awful.

Well, that was fricking terrible.
We look like a 1960's English third division side.

Or like watching Liverpool FC 2014-15.
Without the game winning goal to th opposition of course.

Bad game, but I'll take it. We're still in great position to win the group

I just tuned in for the last 15-20 minutes. Looked like Sweden was aggressively challenging every ball and every pass (no wonder they were cramping). Were they doing this the entire game? I imagine it's very difficult to keep that hawking style of defense the entire match.

Sooo...who is starting the "Sack Jill" thread? Because it needs to happen. I think any one of us could come up with as good of a gameplan as we've had in these two matches. Maybe she's good in training, but she is awful at matchday tactics.

Can't use the term sack for female managers. Too close to teabag.

Lalas on his impression of the women's team: "Very little up top, but the backside warms the cockles of my heart"

At this point, she doesn't deserve that courtesy. She needs to be gone after this tournament unless she makes a massive improvement. We would literally have better tactics if she just told the players to do whatever they want.
Posted on 6/12/15 at 9:03 pm to DoreonthePlains
It's blatantly obvious that she is overmatched.
Posted on 6/12/15 at 9:11 pm to Jwho77
For as much shite as Pia talked, she must have been scared to death. Sweden kept 8 or 9 behind the ball for 75% of that match.
